Okay, okay... what's the official word on Shokk Attack Guns?  I've got a pile of them, and the rulebook contradicts itself on what to do with them:

Page 106:
Supa-Zzap-Guns: This category includes the more esoteric weapons devised by Ork mekaniaks to deal with armoured targets. Examples include shokk attack guns, supa-lifta-droppas and bubble chuckers. They are usually only mounted on Gargants, but will sometimes be built for siege work in the same manner as a soopa gun.

ORK BIG GUNZ
Ork Mekaniaks constantly create a plethora of bizarre weapons and tanks.  Many of these are battlefield support weapons which move forward with the boyz to lend some heavy firepower to the fight. They take all manner of shape and design, from the crude but effective Squig Katapult to the strange and ungainly Traktor Kannons, Smasha Guns, Splatta Kannons, Pulsa Rokkits and Shokk Attack Guns. All are used to pound the enemy into submission from afar, before the weight of the Ork Boyz close in to crush the enemy in a final brutal assault. Unfortunately, very few Ork Boys are capable of holding themselves back from a good scrap in order to man the supporting artillery, and because of this Big Guns are usually crewed by Grots, who are kept in line by a Slaver or the Ork meknaiak that built the gunz being used.

Since the differences between these are pretty extreme (one being a macro-weapon, the other being pretty much just another big shooty thing), I'd like to know where they fall.

Also, do the Orks have any indirect fire weapons?

Thanks,
jav98

I just ordered a 3 packs of supa gunz from mail order. Pulsa rockits, shock guns, big gunz etc are all small models. ?In my view it looks nicer and is kinder to the opponent if a supa gun has to have a certain orky 'superness' to it (ie its really big).
Whether on a gargant, gunwagon or on foot, all supa gunz in my army are big and look like they mean buisiness. Opponents can't say they confused them with a normal 'big gun' :D

Inidirect fire for orks - sure! It's called a Fighta bomba, or Landa full of lads  :;):

You can use them either way as long as your use is consistent.

In my Bad Moon army I have shokk attaks based singly to use as big gunz.  They are on 20x20mm bases like all the big gunz while the Pulsa Rokkits I use for Soopagunz are on 20x30mm bases.  It's very clear which is which on the board.

In my Evil Sunz army, though, I've used all shooty boyz for big gunz units.  In that army, I use 3 Shok Attaks on a single base as Zzap Guns.  Again, they are quite distinctive in appearance compared to the big gunz so there is no mistaking them on the board.
