I have decided to make a small(ish) ordo reductor force to go with my titan legion and soon to be made skitarri (once a list has been made :D ).

Now I have no idea what the Ordo reductor has except that it maintains Admech siege dreadnaughts, so I am assuming that they are a siege based skitarri force, designed to smash apart enemy fortresses (rather than charge over no-mans like the IG siege masters do).

So for formations I see

Skitarri
Praetorians
Siege engineers
Siege dreadnaughts
Super heavy tanks (all except the shadow sword are good for sieges and even the shadow sword can be used to take out heavy bunkers)
Siege equipped titans (Corvus assault pods, melta cannons ect)
Centurio Ordinatus
Magmog (the super heavy bomber from double eagle)
And finally tanks.

Ideas for the new units
Siege engineers.  I have only seen their name once in a soul drinker novel.  They appear to be the Admechs heavy weapons team, so I am thinking that they should have a missile launcher and a multimelta, with praetorian stats

Siege dreadnaught. Dreadnaughts (who would of guessed) armed with one of the following
Assault cannon, multimelta, inferno gun
And one of the following
Siege hammer, siege drill

Siege hammer, gives +1 CC (possible MW) which becomes TK(1) against immobilised targets.
Siege drill, +1CC MW that if it “wounds” a transporters will also attack D3 carried units on a 3+ (normal saves).  (The FW siege drill has a built in flamer that is fired into the hole it makes)

Centurio Ordinatus are small ordinatus.  Lord =][= has them with 2DC 4+RA, 2 voids speed 15cm and two heavy bolters then some sort of mega weapon. Either long range barrage, a pair of MW AA guns or a pair of volcano cannonish guns.

My take is a DC3 4+RA artillery tank with either 3 earthshaker cannons, three medusa guns or three manticore turrets a couple of heavy bolters and possible a hydra turret (and possible a fourth type with 4 hydra turrets)

Looks interesting.

Titan waepons:
Wreckers, Power Rams, Quake Cannons, Inferno Guns and perhapos even Tridents also have a nice "siegey" feel to them.

Siege Engineers: It might be interesting to take a look at the Baran Sappers for more inspiration for these.

Siege Dreads: I haven't ready the fluff for these but why would these units be so incredibly rare and treasured among the Space Marines (Who are supposed to be the mose elite and well equipped force in the universe) if they're easily available to Ad Mech forces? I admit that the marines only allow this honor to their finest warriors whereas the AdMech perhaps wouldn't have this concern but still... Some restrictions should apply IMO.

Centurio Ordinatus: Just to be mr. Nitpicky but the Centuiro Ordinatus is supposed to be the organization who operates and maintains the Ordinatii (at least according to the original fluff) I don't mind the idea of smaller Ordinatii but it might be a good idea to come up with a different name to avoid confusion. :;):

Thanks for the info on the Centuiro Ordinatus, I'll look for a new name for these beasts.

As the the Admechs dreads.  I'm just as confused as you as to why they seem to have lots of them compared to the few that the marines have.

I think that the reason could be that the rdo reductor use to have siege robots, but as GW moved away from such devices they became siege dreads.

Their dreads might also be different to those of the marines in that their pilots are alive and just connected via a mind impulse unit, kinda like very small knights (or titans).

Finally I want the siege engineers tobe heavier than Baran siege sappers, who are (I think) combat engineers.  The mention of them in the soul drinker novel had them with impant heavy bolters, plasma weapons melta guns and more exotic weapons.

If only we could time-travel into the future about a year and read Imperial Armour 6... it's all about Ad Mech on the attack. :)
