Well so far my thoughts have generated a baisc list, and I thought I might share the development process with the group, a to let you see where I am at, and b so you can have some input and help me on my way. When looking to balnce and a basic struckture I have been looking at AMTL as the most direct comparison as the loyalist version of what I am trying to do.
? ? The basics of the list are as follows:

1. ? Titans

?Warlord Class Titan
?Banelord Titan - Khorne
?Painlord Titan - Slaanesh
?Plaguelord Titan - Nurgle
?Warplord Titan - Tzeentch

?Reaver Class TItan
?Ravager Titan

?Warhound Class Titan
?Feral Titan
?Questor Scout Titan - Slaanesh
?Subjugator Titan - Slaanesh

? ? As to weapons and prices, they will come soon. As an Undivided list my focus is on all of the available Titans. Adding the four major Warlord class variants to the basic list. I will also add a modelling section so players who want to create a specific Legion dedicated to a specific power can do so with some guideance.

2. ? Auxillery Units

Knights

?Paladin
?Lancer
?Errant
?Crusader
?Castellan
?Baron
?Hell Strider - Slaanesh
?Hell Knight
?Hell Scourge

? ? As far as the knights go, similar limitation will be imposed as to number as AMTL does. I would like to rename all of the basic knight variants and give the Baron a new chaotic name.

? ? For the remainder of the auxillery units I have looked to CSM and LATD to get suitable units. It is my belief that the Skitarii Regimenst that fled to Eye no longer exist and that only the Titans and Knights remain of the old Legions. So when they go into battle they are supported by CSM and traitor forces.

3. ? Tanks

?0-2 Traitor Tank Squadron - 6 ?x Leman Russ

4. ? Infantry

?0-3 Traitor Covens - CSM Lord + 11 Traitor Stands
?0-2 CSM Retinue
?0-1 Chaos Chosen Retinue

Upgrades - all infantry units have access to the following upgrades, Transport, Icon Bearers, Champions, and Daemaonic Pact

5. ? Artillery

?0-2 Traitor Artillery Batteries - 3 x Griffons

6. ? Flak

?0-2 Traitor Flak Batteries - 3 x Hydras

7. ? Daemon Pool

I am unsure about the Daemon Pool at this stage, i would like to playtest before making a decission on it. I think it may overpower the list.

8. ? Chaos Navy

?0-1 Hellblade Flight - 3 x Hellblades
?0-1 Helltalon Flight - 2 x Helltalons

As far as the structure of the docuement goes, I am looking a little something like this:

1. Introduction
2. Background
3. Titan Legions and Affiliations
4. Strategy Ratings & Special Rules
5. Army List
6. Weapons Costing
7. Data Sheets
8. Modeling Guide to Chaos Titan Legions

Cheers

I would add the Lord Of Battles to the list, either par with reaver or warhound - but no void shields.

Ill be interested in how this turns out and giving it a play test, slowly painting up my Chaos Titan legion at the moment.

Yes, I have been putting them together myself. It is a slow process though. I have a warlord on the bench at the moment with a quake cannon, barrage missile, doomfist, chainfist and a deathstrike head. Just waiting on some chaos accessory sprues from the UK. Apart from that I have two Reaver class titans ready to paint and some conversion work going on on two Warhounds. So much to do, so little time.

Yes, I agree, the list should include Engines of Destruction ...

Soounds like a fun project.
===

1)  I would go with "Changelord" for Tzeentch as it more closely mirrors the phonetics of Banelord/Painlord/Plaguelord but that's strictly personal preference.

I'd also stick with the chassis/weapon construction similar to the AMTL list.

2)  Personally, I would keep the knights to just the Slaanesh stuff.  I don't recall my knight history in detail but I don't think the levies to AM were in effect at the time of the Heresy.  It's not so much that other households wouldn't have defected but that I don't think there would be any special reason they would hang out with the titan legions.  But that could just be my interpretation.

3,4,5,6)  I don't think you need all the 0-X restrictions.  If you put a good point cost and a good point/formation requirement on the titans then force composition shouldn't be a problem.

The only problem with "Changelord" is that it might be a little confusing with "Lord of Change"...

You might be right.

Especially with translations.

If you are considering a Nurgle dedicated scout titan, how about "Vermin" for the name?

I don't know. Vermin refers to rodents, not disease.

If i look at a GreatUncleanOne i really can't imagine a slender and fast ScoutTitan for Nurgle :D

Sorry, but i think ScoutTitans don't fit Nurgle.

Hi gang,

I am unsure of the AMTL construct for titans, I have been using E&C costing option in games and find it works better for a Titan list. It has limitations in the ammount of weapon and head slots and the costing of the weapons places restrictions on players. AMTL, seems to have come to a crashing halt in development with people divided on its future. The only visible work is E&C and our discussions. I dont want to limit players with must take weapon slots on titans. A player should design the titan for their style of play and the feel of their army. If they want to take a titan that cost a third of their GT point allocation, they have placed themselves in a predicament before any game starts. They will be easily out activated and loose as a result.  I have yet to place points cost to the chaos weapons, but I will be looking to balance them against existing AMTL weapons and the Banelord, Ravager and Feral Titans.

I think I will stay with the Changelord. It will be written Changelord Titan, and listed under a warlord Class titan section, that should be sufficient to reduce confusion. At the moment I am going to leave deamons out of the list, keep it CAMTL, LATD, CSM units. This will mean that there is no mention of the Lord of Change within the list.

As to knight background, I haven't seen anything good on it and like Neal, I cannot remeber my knight stuff that well. The Slannesch Titans seem to be a little limited in an undivided list and already appear in the EC list. If anyone can forward me some Knight background that would be great. My email is on the site.

As far as power specific Reavers and Warhounds go, I think they should be left to the Power specific list like Neals Sons of Damnation in TSv2.1. My aim is undivided, with the big four power warlords in to give charater and a starting point for people to start a force from or combine the powers like CSM does with the obvious drawbacks.

I should have something out over the next few weeks.

Cheers

What about having the chaos super heavy tanks in the list. ?The decimator and doom wheel (or death wheel, whatever it is called). ?Since they are surpose to be made to replace lost titans.

As the traitors can't make new one (they can build the planet killer but not new titans ??? )

As for the nurgle scout titans.  The warhound isn't the only scout titan out there, just the the only one mentioned.

This list could be a good place to introduce other scout titans.  Such as a sniper scout.  Armed with a long barrelled volcano cannon (not that it need any more range) and some comms gear (not sure what it does yet  :D ).

I originally planned for it to have less armour and voids than a warhound but faster.  A nurgle one could have more voids and armour, but slower.

I like Vermin as a Nurgle-specific name.

Not every servant of nurgle is necessarily obese.  Plaguebearers have a roughly proportional build, just with bloated pot bellies.  I can easily see a Warhound titan with a bloated body, but still on its same proportionally skinny legs.  That seems very Nurgley to me.
