Has anyone tried to modify the Epic rules for play with 28mm scale 40k miniatures?
I'd love to use my 40k models but I can't stand the rules set. I thought about adapting the fantastic Epic rules but figgured I'd see if anyone had already done it.
My first thoughts are to count every infantry model as a base and all vehicles as war engines. What would you change?

Look at the latest version of 40K Apocalypse for a starting point.
Apocalypse still has a bunch of the extra ornamentation that normal 40k has, but I think it you try to use the Apocalypse rules with 'normal' sized 40k games, then it might be what you are looking for.
Just reading the rules, it seems like Apocalypse is 50% Epic, 50% 40k
