From time to time, there is a discussion about cards in Epic:Armageddon. The most recent discussion, I believe, was in December 2015: http://www.taccmd.tacticalwargames.net/ ... =4&t=30593

I really like the idea of having cards corresponding to each unit in play, so I tinkered around a bit. I really like the cards which are supplied with Team Yankee as you have all necessary stats for one single unit at hand all the time and all legnthy stuff at the back. Still, you only need a couple of cards and be done.

I looked around the net and found some nice fonts. First one is Excite http://www.1001fonts.com/excite-font.html a very clean font. The second is Maroonedonmars http://www.1001fonts.com/maroonedonmars-bb-font.html a more sketchy, written font. I dont really fancy the numbers used in Excite, but I really like the text - its nice and clean. The text with Maroonedonmars is a pain to edit as the default line space is 120%, so typesetting is a pain. I like the energy coming from the font, but it looks far less professional, albeit more professional than Comic Sans. What do you think?

I wonder if you could perhaps get an set of icons for the fire arcs? Might reduce the note clutter in the weapons?

This is way cool man. The issue with cards (formations) always been one of who's going to keep them up to date. But stat tracking cards are a totally different thing. Armada has done a fairly great job of cramming a ton of information into a small area in an understandable area (if my 3 year old can understand it, it works in my book). Perhaps there's some inspiration to be had there?

And I switched to landscape, which I vastly prefer. No eye candy yet, just want to get the basic layout straight. Thoughts?

Yeah thought about the weapon arcs as well, even ripped the image from the TP.

personally I'm glad someone is making a stab at it after my efforts fizzled out

I would mostly be interested in cards like these so I could track damage/shields/crit effects without cluttering up the tabletop with more tokens or dice, while the landscape layout is nice, you've got a big chunk of white space in the middle which could be used for something (damage/shield tracking perhaps?) I'd love to see proper warmachine-esque cards for the game, but don't have the time or skills to make them at present, these look like a step in the right direction

font-wise I'd tend to stick with the fonts from the rulebook, (Garamond for text, copperplate gothic for headings IIRC) but that's just personal preference, readability is key

also agree more little icons for fire arcs would be preferable on the weapon stats :)

I also put all my work so far in a google drive. Feel free to tinker on your own as well, but please credit the makers of the font (Excite) and the icons (see above) everytime you publish this work (as required per creative commons license)

Beautiful! I initially preferred the portrait orientation (feels like it’d be easier to pick up and pass to my opponent – irrationally, probably), but the landscape card is much easier to read. I actually prefer the all-white one to the red one.

Would it work better with the “Walker · Fearless · Reinforced Armour · 3DC · 2 Void Shields” line below the photo, just above the weapons?

The portrait is also included in the gdrive :)
No difference in positioning the rules for the hound. I just prefer it up, but you can change that up

Thats the idea, yes. There must be a system to get these out of a central database as well, to avoid copy & paste.

I finished up AMTL. Pictures nagged from Miniwars, for my own I will probably take dedicated photos for these cards.

Pictures will be added to the Googledrive as well, of course.
