Hey guys.

For some reason I am having trouble puzzling out the weapons listings for Eldar Phantom and warlock titans. All the various sections of the different damage listings has me a bit confused.

It seems like the damage lines for Pulsars and the Missile Launchers are pretty simple for a 2x pulsar-armed titan (or Psychic Lance/Pulsar-armed Warlock) because you have the options for damage when firing both ranged weapons systems, but the apparent three lines of different damage for the power fist is confusing me if I want to field a titan with a power fist.

Could anyone shed some light with a breakdown?

You can shoot with it 6x 4+/4+.

If you're in an assault, you can either use it for 3 extra FF attacks, or 2 extra CC attacks with are TK(D3).

You can shoot and use the assault attacks in the same turn. You just can't use the FF and CC in the same assault.

Ok, thanks! For some reason the stats were bewildering me. Probably inexperience, and I was having a hard time visualizing how the powerfist was performing a ranged attack (do Eldar titan powerfists have an in-build set of ranged weapons? I am not as schooled in Eldar titan fluff.)

Some where in my hazy memory I recall the power fist having shuriken cannons in its knuckles.

Wasn't it some kind of lasers in the jewels of the powerfist? My memory is pretty hazy though, so I could be wrong.

My memory was that the actual reason was just for game balancing. Fluff was added as afterthought, lasers in jewels, shuriken cannons in knuckles... etc. Take your pick.

Yeah, I think the ranged part of the powerfists' attack was mentioned somewhere in the original background, but the model didn't represent it.

While we're on the subject, the weapons of the Eldar Titan Clan list (and hence other Eldar lists) are currently under discussion here. Amongst the suggestions is for the Eldar power fist to lose the ranged attacks. Why not pop in and give your opinion?

I checked the stats from Renegades from SM2 (I didn't feel like digging through the AT-era White Dwarfs for the original stats) and I quote, "The Eldar Power Fist is also enhanced with the addition of a battery of Shuriken Cannon in the fingers and 'knuckles' which give it a potent ranged capability as well." My memory was correct after all!
