Just because it is Monday, I wanted to hear, purely from being curious, which are better of the emperor class titans and gargants and why?

Let's take these three army lists:

A. 2 Mega Gargants + big custom upgrade (50) (1050+1050+50+50) + Normal Size supa stompa mob (325) = 1525 pts + 5 big guns (25x5) = grand total of 2650 pts.

B. 2 Warmonger Titans incl. Lysander fighters (1250+75+1250+75) = 2650 pts.

C. 2 Imperator Titans (1250+1250) = 1500 + Orbital support (150) , grand total of 2650 pts.
(orbital could be switched for a squadron of thunderbolt fighters if it makes more sense)

Did any of you try any of these monsters and can you weigh in? I guess I am after esp. how viable Mega Gargants are against Imperator/Warmongers and also which configuration is better, Imperator or Warmonger. And hey even the thought of these in a battle is a lot of fun.

A final thought: Would a large ork army that had four Mega Gargants be as competitive as a large space marine army that had 2 warmongers and 2 imperators?

Be patient. You posted only yesterday! I would guess that most E:A players have little to no experience with Emperor class Titans and Mega Gargants.

I'd give you my 2¢, but I'm not happy with the E:A stats for the Imperator. Even if I did like the stats, at 1250 points it's highly unlikely I'll ever use it in a 3000 point game,

I've only ever used the Mega Gargant once and to be fair to my opponent they were really unprepared for it! I usually go for a mass horde Ork army so as you can imagine their army list was full of AP weapons with some AT to deal with Battle Wagonz etc.

The Mega Gargant alongside a Big Supa Stompa detachment (1650 points) destroyed about half their army (1500 points) in the first two turns!

For the rest of the game though they were rather out of it as they had stayed on my base line to deal with his planet falling troops while the rest of the army had advanced.

Overall, I thought they worked really well but could probably be avoided due to their slow speed if the opponent had a a lot more activations - I only had 4 activations in the entire army.

I think they would work quite nicely against other large Titans as they have fairly high amount of TK weapons.

Not exactly what you were after but its the only experience I've had with them!

Yeah almost not seen at 3k. Actually on a table with the amount of terrain we use locally I'd be happy as I could do a fair amount of activation stalling and simply avoid the beast and give up the Blitz for theirs.
