Does anyone know of any historical archive to Epic miniatures.

It would be really nice with an archive for each race that includes box sets, blisters, different versions over the years as well as Forgeworld miniatures and terrain pieces.

Cheers

I think the closest are epicollector (far from complete) and stuff of legends..... I think there is a thread of sprue pics around on taccomms too.... maybe someone should collate as many resources as they can into a single thread....

I would be happy to create a website for it if enough people could send me pictures, text and information.

I have created this email address: epichistoricalarchive@gmail.com

If enough people send me emails with pictures and descriptions I will create a site and share it here and across the web.

I will first give this two or three weeks and see how much input I am getting. If I get enough input to get this going I will then create a site. Next week I will be mainly travelling most of the time.

If you send me something it would be great if you can use this template:

Picture:
Epic version:
Year released:
Army:
Unit type:
Model name:
Rule found in:
Other notes:

If you only have the picture and the army it belongs to don't worry. Someone later will come about and add the rest of the information!

If a some dedicated souls help me out I shall be happy to maintain a site with all the information in one easy overview!! I think we owe it to history to create an archive and maintain it. In a decade or two it will be impossible to compile.

Cheers

Only one i can think of was from warseer: http://www.warseer.com/forums/showthrea ... Sprue-pics
But there might have been some duplication onto taccom.

Hi

I have created the framework of a website: http://www.powerdice.com/epic/epic.html

If people support this I will add a lot more stuff on it. If anyone has pictures please send them to me. Incl. all the useful information. If it is not your picture please (!) add the source!

Cheers

Ah i was wrong, there is one on taccom as well, with some content as a repost from warseer see here: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=18666

Feel free to use my images from either forum thread.

And not to hi-jack your project, but rulers in picture are a great resource for anyone considering scratch building or eyeing up proxys.

Welcome to use anything on this thread uploaded by 'apocolocntosis' (me!) http://www.warseer.com/forums/showthrea ... Sprue-pics

Most of the other posters are probably contactable via taccom if you want to use their pictures, same goes with the other thread: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=18666

And this one:
http://www.powerdice.com/epic/TERRAIN/terrain.html

Overall site:

A lot of work has been put into the Eldars
http://www.powerdice.com/epic/ELDAR/eldar.html
and the Terrain:
http://www.powerdice.com/epic/TERRAIN/terrain.html
and the main core rule section: http://www.powerdice.com/epic/CORE/core.html

But by no means complete

Would it be useful to be able to have multiple picture for each entry? then you can have pictures for: box/blister, contents unassembled, complete model.

Absolutely.
Anything I receive will be posted. One model, Group of models, painted, unpainted. Maybe even some boards and battles and in action pictures.
