Has anyone tried combining epic and BFG into a campaign? I was thinking of having the results of the space battle affect the number of points for the next epic ground battle, but that may unbalance the epic part of the game too much.
Suggestions would be appreciated.

I have an idea on an interesting rules system to combine them, but I need a computer programmer to help me out.

It could.be done, indeed I believe it's.suggested in the epic rulebook somewhere.... Depending on your campaign I think it should primarily affect orbital bombardments and planetfall (which is obvious) you'd need some kind of narrative to work with more complex ideas such as.imbalanced.forces etc....

Ive done it before, although the campaign was just between my friend and I and petered out after five or so turns.
It worked quite well.

How about rather than affecting the points it affects the units you use. So if ship x dies you can't use the Stormtroopers. If ship y dies you can't use the Reaver etc. If applied to both sides it could be interesting...

Once the campaign was going, I'd go with some kind of orbital superiority concept - whoever's ahead in the BFG campaign gets free spaceship(s) in their battles. The other person either has to pay (if it's close) or can't use them at all (if it's not).
Though you could also have a big system map and allocate your ships and men accordingly. That may be getting a little involved, though.

I think it's fine for BFG results to affect points, so long as you play a scenario that uses unequal points, e.g. a superior force assaulting a fortified position, or an inferior force trying to escape.
