Do WE's suffer the same penalty from being under blast templates as they do the flamer template?

i.e. if under the centre of a blast template do they suffer the additional hits as with being under the central line of the flame template?

Cheers

A WE under the center of a template is attacked a number of times equal to 1/2 DC, rounded up.

The flamer rules are entirely unofficial, but as I recall the centerline rule was set up to be the same.

That depends on which version of the teardrop template rules you're using (most lists have now dropped the teardrop teamplate as it wasn't nessesary).

But yes, putting the centre of a blast template over a War Engine applies not one hit, but a number of hits equal to half the damage capacity of the War Engine.

So a BP attack against a Warlord Titan with DC8 will have 4 attack dice.

This is probably a 5 minute warm-up question, but how do most people play "the center of the template". The whole hole has to be over the WE? More than half? Or literally the exact center of the template is over any part of the WE?

I usually play it as the whole hole needs to be over the WE.

The reason I felt like I had to double check this was due to a recent game between my squat army & an OGBM list. The Ork player had a mega gargant & after my colossus had stripped it's shields I fired the nuke from my land train's bomb car and !!!! 9 TKd3 hits that all came up 5's & 6's!

I felt so good & so bad at the same time, lol. Unfortunately in subsequent turns the dice Gods turned on me & pulled it back, the git

I'm really not a big fan of this rule at all, it's awkward and counter-intuitive. The bp rules could do with a rethink from scratch imho.

I disagree, it's a very intuitive and logical rule. I'm sorely missing it in 40k (among other things  :)) ). When you envelope all surface of a huge thing with a barrage of blasts, it should take a lot more damage than from a single potshot, or than a smaller target would in that case.

1 whirlwind against an imperator titan = 6 shots

18 whirlwinds against an imperator titan = 6 shots

Sorry, no dice.
