Would I be correct in thinking that a formation consisting of slow-firing units could fire some in one turn and the remainder in the next in order to achieve a constant fire-rate for the formation?

Specifically, could a Manticore Artillery Company fire 5 units in one turn, and then the other 4 in the next?

Thanks in advance.  :))

Tis a standard tactic!  :;):

Eg manticore/bombard battery, 2 first turn, 1 second, 2 third, 1 fourth.
