1.7.2 Other Units talks about which stands can move through other stands. The language is a little strained but the basic question is: can any friendly unit move through infantry?
Here is the pertinent rule: With the exception of infantry, a friendly unit may never move over another friendly unit.
My problem with this sentence is that the subject is "the unit moving". Thus, the exception is "if the unit that is moving is infantry...". Not, "if either unit, the one being moved or the one being moved through, is infantry..."
Given that distinction, I see the rule as saying that only infantry can move through other units. But, vehicles, for example, cannot move through infantry.
So is it:
A. Any friendly unit can move through Infantry and Infantry can move through any friendly units.
B. Only Infantry can move through other friendly units.
Thanks,
Dale
P.S. In this case, my opponent thought it was A, but was willing to go with B. I was willing to go with B for the rest of the game, but said I would check afterwards. To me, this is a big skimmer advantage, because my Falcons and Wave Serpents can move through (over) my Infantry lines.
And anyone giving the reason as "well the infantry will just step aside" needs to read some of the casualty reports of the U.S. Army when in training maneuvers to realize that does not always happen like clockwork.
