I am afraid that you cant enable this, I have set them for the boards. There are two functions of the boards relating to pictures.

Inline - this posts the pictures in the thread, instead of the link. I have disabled this for those people visiting on a 56K modem or less.

Upload - this would let you upload the pictures to the forum site, whether they are displayed inline or as links. I have disabled this due to the server space. If people need space to store pictures for these boards, let me know. I will try to find some free web space for this purpose.

Anyway, back to the thread. Thanks for your pictures, I guess that it really doesnt matter what they look like, as long as everyone knows what is what. But, if there is a convention for which models are used for which vehicles, it would be good to know from the start (or to organise it amoungst ourselves now).

Also, is it possible to take the same formation upgrade more than once? This will make a big difference to my mechanised Bad Moonz formations.

Thanks.

I'm with "almost-always-right" Jimbo in that I support pictures on the forums!

A disable function could keep those with slower functions from tearing out their hair if they're not patient. I have a slower cable connection myself, but I'm very patient.

By the way, Jimbo, I finally found an AT-1 era Space Marine biker with the chainsword.

Shalom to all,
Maksim-Smelchak.

Back to the Orks, does anyone know where the option for mekboy speedstas has gone in the V10.1 army lists?

I just downloaded the new version, and they aren't there anymore  :(  ???

Hello all,

Looking at the E:A rules in more detail I have noted that a lunar class cruiser costs 50 points less than a shadowsword. The shadwosword is a somewhat specialized AT weapon (yeah, I am that smart) and is specialized in dealing with enemy heavies as a consequence. It has the drawback that it can be shot back ad has a limited range, while the lunar cannot be shot back and has unlimited range. This got me wondering if this, coupled with the ability of the lunar to place a large barrage (even if only 3BP strong) in a point of the table, would mean that a lunar is better on the battlefield that a SINGLE shadowsword. It costs less points, so I was wondering if I am correct. At least this seems so to me  ???

Seeing this, it would seem that if you were planning on using a single titan killer the shadowsword is less efficient than the lunar cruiser. I suppose other armies get similar combinations. Am I right here? Is the lunar a better titan killer than a single shadwosword for less points?

Health and sixes,

Xavi

Spacecaft can be pretty tricky. First of all you have to declare whch turn it shows up on the table. If you're unlucky it will not show up until the very end of the battle when it is too late to make a difference. The advantage of the shadowsword is, that theoretically it is capable of shooting every turn.
that said the large barrage template and usually pretty high firepower of orbital bombardments makes then very usefull in many situations.

Cheers!:)

I rarely use space craft, and I am certainly no expert, but that has never stopped me having an opinion in the past!  :D  Personally, I would take the ShadowSword. The Lunar gets to fire only once during the game, and can be seen off by other space craft. Also, you have a limited control of exactly where it appears. If it gets there too late, you may find your own troops caught in the blast as well!

The Shadowsword has the option to overwatch, and usually gets to fire twice (or 3 times, if the enemy doesn't blow it up). The Lunar gets to fire once, and gets a MW barrage attack once as well, but can never cede victory points.

I'd get the Lunar over the Shadowsword for the same reason you'd pick a Marauder squadron over an artillery battery: it can't get picked off before it has a chance to fire. (I know that playing the Guard forces you to think defensively like this, because it's rare that I get to go first, especially vs teleporting terminators and thunderhawking assault troops, who usually inflict a heavy tolll)

Hi, I have several armies and have played Epic for 2 years now.  Just got an Ork army and have based them on various sized bases.  I have 20mm X 20mm bases and 30mm X30mm bases and put between 3 and 7 figures on them.  The reason for doing this is to try to get the feel of a barbarian warband, which in my opinion Orks are.  I have checked the rules and I can see no problem with this.  Does anyone out there forsee any issues? ???

The only difficulty I can think of is getting enough 30x30 bases in b to b, otherwise go for it

I've often been tempted by the idea of making my warbands on warmaster bases with 7+ minis on each base.... hehe - that what be some really big mobs!

My excuse for not having done it yet?! I keep forgetting the idea!  :D

Call me a traditionalist, but all my Orks are 5 per base. However, I do like your idea of putting 7 to a base.

I like the wild horde idea - in fact, if you have extra models, adding the odd grot, bike or Killa Kan to a base would add to the horde look.

Well I'm actually thinking about doing one mob this way for my ToEG army... I just dunno which! Probably just a normal warband... I lack the wildboyz as they would have been the perfect choice.

Or maybe mad boyz or something. Any how the more models on the base the worse fighters they must be...  I mean - if 7 of my orks equals 3 of some other dudes orks in stats then his must be the better ones right?

I am doing something very similar with my Feral ork Army.
