Hey all.

Something came up today that we're not sure of.

A critical hit was rolled on a Warhound and it stumled into a building taking a point of damage. Does this point of damage give an extra blast marker?

Thanks for any help.

Steve.

I would say yes since it is just like losing a stand of infantry.  A loss of a DC is a loss regardless.

I am not a Mod, I just play one on TV.

Also don't forget to se if that extra point of damage is a critical too.

LOL... Thanks guys.

It would have been an issue yesterday. We were playing 3000pts Krieg vs Ad Mech (with 50% pts for Titans) army list.

If the Warhound had taken an extra blast marker it would've broken (and REALLY annoyed my opponent). We played that it didn't give a blast marker but my gut instinct was that it should.

For the record, Krieg won the game 2:0 in turn 3 (DTF & TSNP). It was a very good game and we should pass on our thanks to E&C for developing the lists.

A couple of pics.

Anyone else wanna chime in with an opinion?

Your table setup looks great, which IMO makes or breaks the game.

I'd say it causes a BM.  Terrain checks are specifically noted as an exception.  Every other kind of damage adds a BM and this is definitely not a terrain check.  For the most direct parallel, I'd say it's like fires on a gargant and damage on an imperial titan - caused (albeit indirectly) by a critical hit.

I think it's a pretty lightweight critical anyway.  The opponent deserves for the Warhound to gain a BM.

Thanks Neal (and rose    ).

We'll play it differently next time.

Nice board indeed Onyx, can I ask where you got the mountain ranges?
For what it's worth I don't think you'ld get a BM rules wise but it does make sense to give one.

The mountains are from Heroscape.

We'll play that it gives a Blast Marker from now on.
Thanks guys.
