To characterise this as EUK vs the rest is incorrect IMO

+1

I have no affiliation with Epic-UK and mostly use Net-EA lists, but I think scouts should be able to use their zone of control to block aircraft landing. I have always played and understand the rules to mean it this way and had no idea it was contentious till I saw this thread.

I hope this contraversal and unbalancing FAQ area is reconsidered as I think it's a terrible idea.

FWIW this is my group's position as well.

The only thing I've seen the full enveloping scout screen done for is turn one protection of Artillery companies/batteries, have never seen it as a problem.

To be quite honest I can imagine quite a lot of horrible ways to use a SM landing craft to abuse this ruling. If for e.g. an air transport can enter multiple units ZOC does that mean I can land on top of several units, barging them in the process?

I also agree with Ginger and Rug that it's changing the core mechanics of the game for no other reason than a dubious, IMO taken out of context, interpretation of a badly worded FAQ answer.

Very experienced tournament players like Rug and Ginger do cut pretty much straight to the quick of these issues as they can see the abuses/cheeky tricks very quickly. Perhaps that's why there's such a UK/world split. We do play quite rough here in the UK, although in a most gentlemanly manner I might add.

Having read the discussion and had these guys point out the potential for abuse and confusion and explained their reasons, I'm very much inclined to agree with them.
