Smaug/Puff the magic dragon who lives by the Loch/Sea...

L4 that is awesome.  :wow:

Puff the Magic Dragon.

I'm not sure what it says about me, but I can remember the lyrics to that.....

As for that model, it's not bad, but I like the original one (which I have) better.

I thought that was the original ? ??? I've had her for years ?!

You've got the original *Forge World* Harridan, L4, but GW did a more "insectile" one back for the earlier versions of Epic.

I didn't know that you had applied for that position, although there is no particular reason why I should, but from what I've read of your posts both on here and on Warseer, I think you would have done a very good job.

Cheers, I did pretty good, got down to the last 8 people, and I reckon I was in the top half of that bunch; I'd like to try again some day, if given the opportunity, but we'll see.

Well except for E&C who insists to know something....for at least a year or so...but is reluctant to give any hard facts :D

My view is that if that if you know something tell us - I really can't see what the problem would be - its not as if every 40k+fantasy release isn't leaked months before.

As some may know, I was interviewed to be a Games Designer for GW last year. I didn't get the job ultimately, but I was interviewed inside the GW studio.

In order to get in there, I had to sign a Non Disclosure Agreement, and that means that if I talk about anything I may or may not have seen inside the Studio, I will be breaking the law.

It doesn't matter whether I talk about Epic, or Warhammer, or Lord of the Rings, I am banned from revealing anything I may have seen in there.

Well, that explains the secrecy. Thanks for explanation E&C. I will now stop working on the voodoo doll I was making to torture the information out of you.  :))

Well folks, I feel I am better informed now than I was at the start of this thread.

1) GW management suck and play infantile petty power games while we the PAYING customers have to suffer the fall out. Love 'em or hate 'em we're stuck wit dah bums!

2) Jervis Johnston is tall. I'm unsure just how tall but we may be talking freakish proportions here. So be warned. Tall is a relative concept and he aint tall. Now if you had said Jervis was Chuck Norris's lover I would have kacked my Y's.

3) Irisado can remember stuff even though he thinks he is getting on a bit. Well done sir, keep up the good work we're all routing for you.

4) L4 has some very lovely models, even if his Harridans seem to be anything with paint on that has wings... I am not jealous... I'm just menstruating!

5) People sworn to secrecy shouldn't really tease others with obscure references to inside information unless they want supremely short folk to make voodoo dolls of them.

6) FW may or may not be crap, Resin is hazardous if inhaled and British customer service... isn't.

Have I missed anything?..

All I can say is five things:

1 - Cheer up fellas.
2 - Jervis is very tall, and has said in public twice to my knowlege that he thinks we'll see *new* *SG* models for Epic, probably in around a year or so. I don't think he was lying.
3 - GW's normal 'preview' window when they start leaking info is 3 months in advance of release. (Oh and I reckon that 95% of the info you read on Warseer is intentionally leaked).
4 - Forgeworld are definitely interested in doing some more Epic, but not right now.
5 - Damn You Robbin Cruddace!*

I have also briefly met Jervis, and Lo he is a top chap, and tall. I similarly have no reason to doubt E&C. However, lets be totally honest here. SG have made several grand claims over the past 6 years, and I would assume that all were made in good faith and with full intention of being carried out. (This is the point where people dig out the original EA development schedule - which 'the community' commented would take far too long - Oh, the irony.) Fact is, no-one knows what will happen in 12 months, not even Jervis.

I hope for the best, but prepare (and expect) the worst.

"I've heard that Seeds of War is a quite well supported game by Dark Realm. And not that hard to make room for the various obscure Sci-Fan found in Epic®. And there are other systems that works just as well. And activly supported too. Mind you, these are just random rumours, divulged by a remarkably masked stranger in a dark alley of downtown London. I think he had a clawlike tool with him too"

Sooo, Irisado. I take it you'll be posting a wee pic to let us all have a butchers at the mythical beastie then?  :p

Sadly, I can't for multiple reasons:

1. I'm in Nottingham and my figures are in Hertfordshire
2. I don't own a digital camera (yes, I know, don't ask.  I didn't own a video recorder until 2001, my mobile phone dates back to 2002, and I almost never use it, I don't use Facebook, my space or anything else that's vaguely similar, and I still say 'I'm well' in the response to the question 'how are you?'  )
3. It's not painted

Apart from that no problems at all!

By the way, I think your summary is just about right.

Cybershadow: Having never seen a copy of the original EA Development schedule, as I was still playing Space Marine up until earlier on this year (I hadn't realised that Epic40K - which I refused to play on the grounds that it was too bland and would have required me to re-base all my infantry - had been superceded by Epic: EA), what did the original schedule look like?

Another Ludite Freak!... Irisado... long lost brother! It is good to know I am no longer alone. At last someone else that has come out of the technological Narnian closet. Huzzah!

My! What a reeealy big house you have.

had been superceded by Epic: EA), what did the original schedule look like?
*Perks up with interest!*

Thanks Warhead, I've used other Space Fleet 'nids for Epic 'Nids too !  The first two rows are Space Fleet as well as the BIG Squid (now Dominatrix !) in the middle !
Bugz iz Bugz, yeah !?!   And Irisado is my purple Harri the one you're talking 'bout ?  :alien:    8v)

Well thank you E&C for clearing that up :)

But as other pointed out: Jervis can say alot what he BELIEVES. But what actually is/will happen is another matter :(

In order to get in there, I had to sign a Non Disclosure Agreement, and that means that if I talk about anything I may or may not have seen inside the Studio, I will be breaking the law.

Actually you'll be breaking the terms of a legal agreement you made and will suffer the penalties that you agreed to in that NDA but that isn't the same as "breaking the law".

You could also just not talk about the issues at all and then you wouldn't look as if you were trying to tantalize people with information only to withhold it because of some supposed NDA you signed. It just makes you look like you're trying to make yourself look like someone who knows something without having to actually have any "insider" information to spill.

So either spill the info or don't but being a tease about it is just juvenile. Its certainly less satisfying to just shut your mouth when you know things related to a topic and can't speak about it for one reason or another but I can assure you that many people on this board are in that exact situation and don't act in the fashion that you have.

And we've seen enough times in the past that Jervis' intentions are one thing but what the marketing, finance and executive staff at GW allow him to do are another thing entirely.

Short of an official announcement from GW about new releases Jervis' desire to do something is simply that. His desire.

That in and of itself doesn't get anything released.
