Hi!
Nice, the model looks pretty big, more appropriate for its role.
I'll probably hold off buying it until after Epic A is released, perhaps the metal one will be cheaper...

Quote (primarch @ 01 2003 Sep.,20:46) | I'm seriously thinking of replacing my old Battlewagons with "Ork Trukks."
I think I could use the current Ork Flakwagons minus the gun for this, or perhaps convert a turret of some sort to give it an obvious offensive weapons. | ...easily done and I personally think look very effective

and in battle

the following link has more information including modelling details and rules (Epic40k ones that is).

Hi!
Yup, that's what I was thinking of. Simple, yet very pleasing to the eye.
Thanks for the pics!

I think this was in the Moderator thread, but I thought it would fit better in its own. Jervis answered my question about the release order. Eldar will be the first release after the core.
New races will be covered in 'campaign supplements' that will be around 64pp long. For the Eldar the supplement will be called Epic: Swordwind. The campaign pack will introduce provide general background for the Eldar, then list Eldar units and new Guard/Ork/Marine units, then provide campaign background for the scouring of an Imperial planet by Biel-Tann Craftworld. Army lists based on this background will be provided for Eldar, Guard (Death Korps of Krieg), Marines (a 'non-Codex' Chapter, not sure which yet!)and Orks (feral). This mirrors the format used in the Epic:Armageddon rulebook itself, and will set the template for the way that we go about bringing out Epic supplements in future.
He also noted that the Nids will still be done to correspond with the 40K Nids release next summer, so that certainly implies that both Eldar and Nids will be out by the end of next summer, several months sooner than previously announced.
It makes me a bit nervous when releases are actually moved up, rather than pushed back, but that's the word.

Its going to be two years before I get a chance to better my rushed attempts on those chaos bikes

Hi!
I just wish armies that were ill-supported the last time around could have been first this time. While its good news for players of those armies to get things pretty soon, those waiting for "later" indeed have a long wait.
Hopefully it will not be another "eternal" wait.

BRING BACK THE SQUATS!!!!
I want to try some Land Trains. Then again, I might just use the list I wrote a while ago.

I must admit that I have mixed feelings about the release and support schedule of EA. This post makes me feel a little more optimistic, as the format and layout seem to be sound and generally I think a good idea. However, I am more worried about the comment in the recent Incoming questions of:
We're not going to promote the game heavily at all: my plan is simple to get it back in print, get Epic scale miniatures back in production, and then support the Epic hobby in an on-going way by bringing out new models, providing magazine support, and generally doing the same kind of stuff that we do for the other specialist games ranges.
In general, I am unusual in that I dont really mind what order it is all released in (there is always some new army that I want to collect), as long as it is all released properly.

Hmmmm. From those two quotes, I have mixed feelings.
On the one hand I'm glad that the release could be happening sooner, as I'm eager to get started with it. If it appears in a WD, then I'll be able to find someone wanting to give it a try (similar to new army syndrome).
However, if it doesn't make enough of an appearance in WD, then the people by me quickly lose interest. If its support goes purely magazine based, then I fear a lot of my opponents will not follow it.
It will mean I would need to get a lot of games in immediatly upon release, to get them hooked. BFG has been waning a little over time, and thats how I see Epic going in my group, if its not regularly spotlighted.

Hi!
I know what you mean CS, I didn't like the inference in that statement you quoted either. To me it says "well, dont expect much from us, we'll do what we can when we can...if it sells...".
That statement is a far cry from the original ones of "bringing out the whole line" and "giving it better support than what was given to epic40k".
To be blunt, it sounds like the usual, well support while its new, but dont expect anything beyond "x" amount of time.
Yes, I know, its my usual "gloominess", but I call them as I see them....
