I haven't yet but I'm in an online campaign that will use it when I eventually have to fight someone. I have created Tau graphics for it though...

I'm in the same campaign Alf! Maybe our paths will cross someday...

Hopefully so, it's starting to shape up quite nicely...

Hey Zombocom - I'm lining up a game soon but I can't for the life of me set the size of the playing window. I've been into the config.cfg file and tried setting vid_conheight, vid_conwidth, vid_width and vid_height. I've even tried running it from the command line, passing them in as startup parameters... no dice.

What am I doing wrong?

Please just try it out a bit first now anyway! It would be good for Zombo to see if it works ok and to see people actually using it. Simulated Knave and Jaggedtoothgrin were talking discussing playing it with me over PM and it was only due to us miscalculating the time zones that me and SK missed playing each other a few weeks ago. PM them and anyone else expressing interest in the thread and play some games. Once people see it works and others might join in but you all really need to get the ball rolling or it's just not going to happen.

I'd like to and want the project to succeed but I can't at the moment or for sometime, I'm staying with randoms in a new city and only have internet access through my mobile.

Doesn't it automatically maximise to full screen when you play anyway? Mine does.

Hi Glyn,

No it doesn't - the "app" fills the screen but the playing window is only about quarter size. It's sort of like looking through a letter box...

I think I'm lined up with sk for next Monday btw...

Try the following command line:

darkplaces -game tabletop -height xxxx -width yyyy

Where xxxx and yyyy are your desired width and height.

No joy I'm afraid... From the startup screen the video display is set to 640x480x32x0 if that helps at all? I've tried doubling and trebling those width and height values but nothing changes. I take it this is working on other machines?

Success!!!

Ok, for anyone else being dumb like me, you have to edit the config.cfg file that gets places in %USER_HOME%/Documents/My Games/darkplaces/tabletop, not the one in the application directory...

Looks *much* better now...

It does. Mine ended up missing some crucial lines, so I had to replace it with the one from the install directory. All was well after that.
