After extensive testing, I can report that GW UK sales have worse music, but they seem to have finally got the static out of it. GW US has LOTR music, which was a bit more calming, and they didn't interrupt you every 30 seconds to let you know you were on hold … but the music was very staticy and the didn't have a nifty little '# place in queue' reminder.

For anyone who wants to know, there were 15 orkeosaurus in stock at GW UK at 17:30 today and 21 scorpions

Thats 14 Orkeosaurus's more then I will ever own now. I pleaded with Mrs Rex for the plastic. She told me no. With a boot. Have you ever been told no with a boot? Its not as nice as a simple no, I tell you that much. But..in her defense, I was hanging around her legs, whilst she tried to walk to the bathroom, all the time pleading out a "Pleeeeeeeeeeeeeease".

'Apparently' Grown ups have to wait till pay day for more hobby funds. Pfff. What does she know.

Now, if you would excuse me, I have to go and wake her up. Perhaps a lack of sleep will entice over the magic money making plastic card....

I've decided to abandon my plans for an eldar army now, which is a shame as I was kinda looking forward to it. I needed falcons, firestorms, Titans, infantry & engines of vaul. So the disappearance of the storm serpent hammered a nail into that idea.

I may have some Eldar bits & bobs up for trade soon.

GW USA had 2 left after about 6pm UK time i think, they are out of void spinners there though, whereas GW UK still has some void spinners but no serpents …

Costs are a problem, I could get some stuff, but I'd not be able to get everything I need in one go so I'm choosing to step away instead of gambling on some stuff being available for a while.

I feel sick.

But the guillotine had to fall sometime. We have plenty of choice for many armies now not dependant on gws support though.

when I've bought stuff recently, it's clearly *just* been cast, the metal is super shiny and has no oxidation whatsoever, I don't think they have much 'stock' when it's probably easier to just spin some models then chuck the excess back in with the metal for re-use.... I think it's probably random the levels of stock they had, hence why the US ran out of void spinners, but the UK has some left (AFAIK)

It's not up to date - I tried adding Hydras to my cart and it said there was insufficient stock to do so.

PANIC!!

I bought some last-minute stuff that one day I think I'll want, despite having been kept away from the hobby for an indefinite period of time (my hobby life just isn't working out). I wasn't able to get those Hydras, which is probably fine. And I was considering getting a pack of Leman Russes. The lovely Epic 40,000 versions often show up on eBay, but certainly no Vanquishers.

Any of my friends in the UK willing to get and send me a Void Spinner for paypal funds? It's one of the last things I need to complete my Eldar and I missed out on it...

Well, got my panic order in. I feel a little broke, but it's not as big as I wanted, however. Why, oh why, didn't I blindly panic last night? but noooooo...... I had to be rational and wait for the confirmation from mail order. By the time I got it, all the steam gargants were gone. :-(

I also echo the pain of others: my next project was to be a modern Eldar army. (I have old-school Eldar.) Now too much is gone to make that happen.

Weird the miniatures that are out of stock. Marine termies I understand... but scouts? I didn't think many liked that over-sized casting

What about Forgeworld? They still show hydras available

I know that the flyers from forgeworld are vastly larger than the Epic Armageddon flyers, but what is the size of their Hydras, Manticores, AA platforms, etc? Are they bigger too? Or would they work alongside the GW versions?

Just some questions I ask as I decide whether I want to search my couch for loose coins and double-down on my previous panic order, or if there are some models I can safely wait a bit on.

Oh, and Kyrt, I do see forgeworld vanquishers show up on eBay from time to time. Keep a stiff uper lip, and keep your eyes open.
