Hopefully we'll see Epic Necrons, way in the future. I have heard that rumor before ... I'm betting Jervis does not even know, for sure ...

Jervis posted within the last month or so confirming that Necrons and Tau would get army lists and models.
There was no mention of the Necrons being only a raiding force. He also confirmed Dark Eldar will _not_ be getting an Epic army.
He also confirmed the release order for Epic armies is: Eldar, Tyranids, Chaos, Necrons, Tau.
He said he hoped to get Necron + Tau trial lists up within the next few months.
Edit: You can find Jervis's post in this thread: http://forums.specialist-games.com/epic40k...._ID=504
This is what he posted
Neal is right, it's go to be at least a couple of years before we get round to the Necrons. However we do plan to do them as the first 'new' race, before the Tau. I do plan to try and get playtest armies up for both these races asap; playtesting the Necrons will not be easy, as you'll have to use stand-ins, but the the FW resins will make it easier to test the Tau list.

Hi!
Good! I really want a necron army!
I hope the game has enough steam to get to that point though....

I'm hoping for the best ! ? Plus, who knows what F/W will come up with for Epic ... but we can make some good "guesses"! However Tony C. and his crew are "wild cards" !

Does anyone know what weapon configuration are the 3 SM Dreads in new blister pack? The Epic A rulebook states that SM dreads are either Assault Cannon + Power Fist or Lascannon + Missile Launcher.
Do you get 2 of first type and 1 of the second type? Or all of the first? Or is the blister a random mixture?
What about the pic in the rulebook of SM dread with Multi-melta + Power Fist. Is that an old model? Or is that a chapter-specific variant in the same way as Land Raider Crusader?
Cheers
James

I think you can use any of the Dreadnaught models (new and old) as either of the two configurations.

Playing friendly games that won't be a problem.
But what about the main part of the question- what do you actually get in the blister?
Thanks
James

If it's like the E40K blister, it will be random. But I ordered everything by part in those days ...
