Hi!
I'd bet with a couple of more people we can get to one million points easy, epic players tend to collect lots of minis!

I admit that I was very late in seeing the appeal to IG. As such, I have a measly 2 companies, reinforced of Superheavies.
But on the original topic, I most miss Silver Towers. I don't know why. They weren't that good in any edition. There was just something that I could dig about floating castles shooting bolts of sorcerous enerty and spewing gouts of warp flame.
Considering how Tzeentch consistently gets the shaft as far as background, they were especially nifty.

Hi!
I know what you mean Neal, I got a bunch of silver towers, I enjoy playing a Tzeentch chaos only army just to field my beloved Silver tower and doomwings.
Ah, those were the days!

We have Silver Towers and plan on still using them. ?But I did think they were an odd concept. I guess, they are kind of like WW1 Zeppelins used a weapons platforms. ?That's basically how we use them plus they have a ?Warding Template (which we may or may not still use ?). ?Primarch, believe me, I have no fear of water or deep space. ? I have attended a number of Amphib training courses/operations, including with Neal's USMC. ?However, never any deep space training ! ? ? The closest I got was 1200 foot parachute jumps !

I have over 10K Imperial guard in the new system, look at my battlegroup Ares thingie for number (but it's now out of date as I have not stopped collecting)
as for the million points, after some off the whacky collections I have read off here, it would not surprise me....

I believe with all nine of my armies (SM, IG, Traitor, Chaos including Cultist, Ork, Eldar, Squat, 'Nids + Tau & Kroot), I don't come close. Maybe half way there depending on which rules you use ?

Pulsa Rokkits yes:) (sigh) Also most of the quirky old ork weapons. The Supa Lifta Droppa is one of my all time favourites! Weirdboy towers overloading Left Right and Centre. oh and the Madboyz!!! Those were the days when It was allways a good laugh to be an ork player. "tell dat too da yoofs nowadays... " Sure it bogged down gameplay a lot but it sure was never boring!
regarding the million pt game: I woonder what size playing area would be needed to field a total of 2.000.000 points worth of troops? Some sort of a sportsfield wouldn't be totally out of the question now would it?

A crowded board is about 1000pts/foot. So, that's 1,000 feet of board, or 300 meters.
My built armies are roughly:
SM: 8K IG: 5K Imperial Support (Navy and Titans): 3k Orks: 11K Eldar: 10k Nids: 4K (Pitiful. No titan conversions yet.)
Solid on all counts (except 'Nids), but certainly not in the league of some of you guys.
