Actually, thinking about it, that's not a bad idea...

Plenty of scope for writing up your own background into the death of the squats, last stand type scenarios...

Now that it is brought up, that might be a fitting way to bring up the Squat's final stand, end of the Homeworlds, and their eventual move to becoming a mercenary society (see Demiurg history).

Zombo might have brought it up tongue in cheek but I really like it!

Are you kidding, Z?  You came up with a great idea!  Squats standing their ground against the Nids, the Ordos Xenos offering a feigned assistance or a sincere one that is retracted.

Hmm, Squats, Nids and Inquisition? I guess it has merits, and it's an existing area of GW fluff, though one that hasn't been filled out.

But no, Demiurg are not related to the squats. They're a seperate race that happens to have similar characteristics.

As far as I know there is no background linking the demiurg and squats. That would be a totally made up idea, and one that a lot of people don't agree with.

There's no background for a lot of things. ?There is nothing that opposes it either.

It is just brainstorming anyhow.  Something like this would change about a dozen times before it became finalized anyway.  Nevermind, the idea stinks. :p

There's a difference. Inventing a few new units and a war is one thing, but suggesting a link between two entirely different races is something else.
