To give credit where credit is due (and you'll rarely hear me say that word in relation to 40k), the 40k scenario and terrain generator system is rather neat.
Its obvoiusly speciailised for a skirmish system, but there is no reason why an enterprising group such as this one couldnt write one for Epic. Using the 1st Ed system as a starting point (but with less Urban influence,) the same type of "pick up battles with a difference" could easily be manufactured.

Yes, the AT1 Random system is generally terrain neutral ... meaning you can have any kind of terrain you can come up with. Where the SM1 scenarios are usually fought amongst the buildings that came in the box, but that's easily fixed. We even had battles amongst the old Vacuformed G/W Craters. And on that subject, the E40K terrain generation system is good too, if for nothing else to give you ideas.

...until they told us to take them down.

I couldn't find any links to lead to the rulebooks themselves. Maybe I'm overlooking something, but all I could find was links to reference sheets and the like.

There was also a good Epic scenario system for Cityfight type battles in one of the first issues of CJ
