thanks Paul for the extra pics of the IG models.
Is it me or is the vanquisher equipped extra with a rather longish turret. It just looks a little long to me.
The basilisk looks fine but I preferred the epic40k version, saying that this new version looks more mobile rather than the carriage like look of the previous one.
Scenary in the background looks great too: how did you get the effect, my buildings look rather old and worn as opposed to what you managed to do. I drybrushed my buildings what did you do for yours?

Hi all, terrific stuff, Tuffskull! The multi-views and paint job on the Warhound DO make it more palatable, though I still prefer the Epic40K ones. The new 'Hound hooves (which I too don't like much) can be transformed into claws by using even carefully shaped chopped bits of plastic sprue (one to each side, similar to the 40K Dreadnought foot) or square section lengths, or odd bits from THE BOX. The cigar, as others have pointed out, would go. I didn't like the prominent Aquila Imperialis on the carapace much, so I'd probably paint in the same colour as the carapace section beneath it, with just some drybrushing, to make it appear as an integral part of the armour, making it less obvious. The plus side of the model (for me) is that they kept the same general stance of the Warhound (or at least, the epic40K one). And so I fall again and will get x of them. And I'm not saying what x is, because it will invariably change... Question - is the Ork supa gun supposed to be mobile or fixed?
cheers.

The best way to find out is look up the rules for them in the Epic:A rulebook, in the vault on www.epic40000.com
Cheers

Chris | Hi Chris and Tuffskull, thanks - especially because I had somehow never realised the Ork list was there!! I've been epic-dormant for some time now, and had missed this. And apologies to all for any daft comments and questions which reveal my vintage and lack of up-to-date experience.
But I still can't find the supagun, unless it's fixed to a Gargant or a Supastompa. meanwhile, I'm drooling over the Landa (model and concept!) and wondering in which box under the warhammer-staircase are my once and future Gargants.
Oh dear, more epic-Armageddon-Ork-newbie questions: 1 - can the Feral Orks army be combined with the ordinary or garden Orks? 2 - is the cost of a Steam Gargant correct at 100 points? 3 - Would it be Gargant or Supastompa sized? (and is the latter the size of the old Mekboy 'lampshade' gargant (honestly, I love this model, undersized head and all) Thanks and cheers.

PS to my last post. The Ork Landa again - I couldn't believe the name of this flyer (lander) - in Maltese, 'Landa' means tin can Now if that ain't singularly appropriate...
more cheers.

Ha Ha I'll have to remember that translation!!! Very fitting.
The supa gun can be added onto a big gunz battery. (At the moment at least) you buy a oddboy upgrade, and it lets you change a regular big gun into a suupa gun. Costs about 50pts, which is rather pricey.
The rest, dont know, I haven't gone through the feral list.

2) AFAIK, yes. Bearing in mind that the stats are basically a supa stompa without the shields, a weaker head weapon and a critical hit destorys it (vs -1 hit modifier for the supa-stompa)
3) I would guess supa stompa sized. Perhaps a better name would have been "steam supa-stompa".
I belive supa stompas are around the size fo mekboy gargants (it mentions in the hard to find models appendix to count a mekboy gargant as a supa-stompa)

Thanks Shadow Hunter, Crimson Fury. The Steam-Gargant argument makes sense. Are there any Ork Landa and Feral Ork Squiggoth previews around? I have a terrible feeling I'm going to convert a WH Lizardmen Salamander or Cold One (plastic and cheaper!) to a Squiggoth.... cheers.

Heres a pic of the Ork landa [URL=http://www.ifelix.co.uk/gamesday2003/pages/DSC00021_JPG.htm[/URL]
I would image the Epic40K squigoth model will be used for the lesser squiggoth, not sure about the normal squiggoth.

He He, I just placed what the landa is reminding me of.
If you paint it green, with a big number two on it(I think) in white, It'll look like the large cargo carrier in Thunderbirds!

As soon as I get my hands on one, I'm definantly breaking from my regular colour scheme, so I can get me a couple of Thunderbird 2's!!!
