How about Primarch's PPKs for short ! And IIRC Jimbo you too are a fan of the E40K fire power system ?! We've taken the journey from SM1 detail, to only taking a few tidbits from SM2 (the game we liked least, but most liked best ?), to using a DS system of using target signature and even different die types, 3 ranges, with modifiers, etc., to the E40K fire power system (which I originally hated because of not enough detail !) with mods, etc.. And after many years of Epic gaming, we still like the fire power system and how it is modified in E-A. So as I always say do what works for you. But if you play SM2 out of the box, we'll make fun of you amongst ourselves as we do rabid 40K (not E40K !) players ! But that's my opinion, and should mean little if you like the rules you are using, regardless ...

Ahh superheavies. My favorite unit type! I can only muster a single superheavy battalion of 4 companies, each company having 3 tanks (I "play" Net Epic). The battalion has one company of each type: Baneblade, Shadowsword, Stormhammer and Stormblade. However, they _are_ all painted and ready to go.
"Some sissy called Krueger said something along the line of there not being such thing as too many tanks. Bah! I say there is no such thing as too many SUPERHEAVY tanks." -Lord General Mojarn "treadhead" Piett, 7th Imperial army group.

Painted or unpainted is good, as long as the models are there.
I'd have to count, but with my latest IG deal and FW order I may be pushing about 100 superheavies.....

I have never played a game "out of the box" as there are too many things I may or may not like about various aspects.
For example I do not like "guess" weapons at all.

Yes Jimbo many of us "Alter Kampfers" see things in the same light ... "With age comes Wisdom ... hopefully" ! And I never even played SM1 out of the box, the first thing I changed was that we started using "activation" from game one. 12 years later Jervis and Co. made that change with E-A ... Works for me !

I wonder if between all of us we could must one million points in Imperial points alone? Certainly more imperial players than anything else.
Primarch | The biggest problem would be working out which points system to use. Epic, Net Epic, Epic40K or EpicA? Just too much choice

I don't have a clue. I haven't played Epic40K or NetEpic; will be getting into Armageddon, but only once the finished rules have been released and its a long time since I played old style Epic (though I should still have all the cards).

SM2 or NetEPIC as they require more models than the other systems

That's close to my IG Force size ... with a few modifications. I have a few more dets, here and there ... But that is a good size IG Army !
