I read through that thread earlier, I'm pretty sure Neal was in agreement with Onyx..... it certainly seemed that way with the 'screen from behind' rule being quoted so many times by him....

Aye, but the question was never about how people should be forced to play their games, it was what the rule actually was, so we could find out who was playing house rules and who was playing by the rules as written. Jervis ain't gonna shoot you for not playing by the RAW. :-)

Yme-loc:
Last time I looked war engines teleporting was in the netea FAQ.

Yeah, interpretation is an amazing thing ::) ;)
There have been a few email discussions after the TacComms threads died down. Following certain theories would make Sentinels way too powerful.
I'm not going to re-hash all the discussions again.
I hope the NetEA FAQ that Neal is working on will put this issue to rest and I'm sorry if several members may end up very unhappy indeed.

Just to be certain, what is the correct way you are referring too?

Could you PM me on the changes - or perhaps resurrect the discussion. We left it at the point where the implications of some thoughts were being examined without carrying this through to a conclusion. Neal then suffered from 'Real Life' and so the debate was never completed satisfactorily either way; consequently the FAQ was not revised.

I disagree. We need an offical FAQ on this. People can houserule as they want afterwards. Isn't Mephiston the rules member of the ERC?

No, I stood down a long time ago, Nealhunt is the man, with Moscovian as his backup I believe. Of course Dave as chair of the ERC can also step in as needed.

Nealhunt has started a reveiw of the FAQ's, I woudn't expect a quick resolution to this.

Knew that scout screening from behind FAQ would cause as many questions as it answered lol

Well we can roll a 4+ each game. But I know a certain Guard player who will never agree on Air Assaults barging through Sentinels if given a choice.

And I know Sm players who will never agree on scout screening Air Assaults if given a choice....
