Oh and BTW E&C, "best Epic player in the world" should perhaps read "best Epic player in the UK...." at the very least, as the UK isn't the world and you have no way of accurately confirming that statement.
"Best Epic player in Europe" would probably be more accurate, considering who's won the European GT's, and who's beaten
them.
FYI, just the UK tournaments have seen IIRC 85 different players in the last 3 years.

I'm in agreement with Onyx and also I don't see garrisoning off the Blitz very often either.
I see it very often, indeed some armies will almost always want to garrison off their Blitz.

FB, you repeatedly claim that dobbsy's (and coincidently mine) interpretation is wrong.
Here's the fact: From a purely technical RAW sense, nobody is wrong.
It just so happens that the greater majority of players "clarify" the objective rules to "measure from the centre" and "measure from the board edge point nearest the centre"...
...but that does not preclude other (Undeniably
very slightly less fair and balanced) methods being used. If ya'll want to use whole 30cm x 30cm buildings as objectives, you can. There are no rules on objective sizes, and no rules that say it can't be a whole piece of actual terrain (Indeed the rulebook actually suggests this as a fun thing to do)...
...but again, undeniably, the "discrete point" convention is more balanced, which is generally regarded as being a more level playing field for games played under tournament conditions, as other styles of objective use can be meta-gamed, in either direction (Small
or big objectives can provide advantages if you build your army list to work with the objective markers you have created).
Ultimately this is a ruling to be left up to tournament organisers, should be discussed in the opening 5 minutes if you don't have a universally known convention in use (As we do here in the UK).
I would, of course, suggest using the "discrete points" methods in tournaments, but as always, DWWFY.
