Aye, but I also understand that Chroma has a plan for a tyranid supplement, and there's no reason to tread on a champion's toes if he has a project already in mind for his list.

Because thats where they are invented. Originally they where used to prodder herds of giant dinosaur like creatures. Thats whewre the Shock Lance comes from. The whole chivalry and Knight Houshold stuff came later.

I know I know. That's the background, written by Andy Chambers, back in the year dot. But it is completely bollocks background. Utter rubbish. When he wrote that, Andy Chambers didn't really get it

GW should change that, and we can lead the way.

Just to prove a point, I want to see Knights on the very most culturally / technologically sophisticated planets in the imperium

I would be happy to tidy up my GS Cult list if anyone wants it included in a future suppliment.

The Imperium is largely a medieval world, the afterglow of a Romantic World

We have:
Space Marines (crusader knights)
Inquisition (speaks for it self)
Ecclesearchy
etc
etc

The Imperium is as Gothic as f**k. Mechanicus still retains a romantic feel.

Where then do Knights fit in all this?
Answer: Everywhere!

A garrison on an Ad-Mech agri-world is a nice nod to the original background, whilst also not having them literally herding dinosaurs.

Yeah, there's no reason why knights shouldn't be present on an agri world. Same as there's no reason why the shouldn't be present on any other world with an Imperial or Mechanicus lord. It's a Warriror Knight's job to provide military might for his lord, right?

I have no problem with dino herders btw. Just call em dino herders. Not fecking Knights!!!
