Thanks. We did look at this, trying to work it out for a few minutes before rolling a dice and moving on (as it turns out, the hit was not applied to the Commissar unit). For some reason, the notes for fearless make complete sense now, sitting down and thinking about it, but we couldnt see that at the time. Re-reading does make it clear:
...just dont allocate any of the hits to the units that are immune...
