All true ... but either way ... it won't be a problem ! :;):

I wouldnt blow him off so lightly- he was the only man is History to have united the Muslim World and really stopped the Christian World in its tracks (even Richard I couldn't take and hold Jerusalem against him)

Chances are that unlike other Tikrit born leaders, he wouldnt have been found cowering in a hole :L

Yes, I saw an excellent show on the History Channel about him and Richard.  Fortunately, recent events have shown no "Saladin" exists in the region ...  :;):

Hi!

I guess that's why sometimes there is so much animosity towards the west. They were once more advance than the west in pretty much all aspects of science, medicine and warfare. Thier current state perhaps shames them and they must redirect some of that anger. Not to condone their actions. But no one likes to lose their "top dog" status.

Hi!

Its a human trait to blame others for our own shortcomings.

Things haven't changed much in a couple of thousands of years...

Indeed if its the BBC one its excellent- highly recommended if anyone is interested in the 3rd Crusade.

Yes the Muslim countries were the most advanced people at the time, but were pulled down- as were the Romans and other examples before them. Remember it took about a thousand years to get back to where the Romans had left off after the Dak Ages    :{

Yes, I saw a number of shows on the History Channel, The Learning Channel etc., on the Crusades.  As well as read a number or journals, etc.  A Very interesting series of wars.   However, it's time to move into the 20th Century ...

Unless you are into Ancient and Medieval Wargaming in your off-Epic time!  :D

Hi!

I've always liked wargaming in those era's. But there aren't a whole lot of rules for 6mm massed combat in that scale.

Anyone know any?

We actually discussed this on the 6mm Yahoo Group a little while ago. We came up with a reasonable list and it might be worth checking the archives for some inspiration. It is not so bad, and I am sure that we had about 10 rules sets at the last count.

I use Ancient wargaming as a break for my eyes as well, as use 15mm Figures.  I really like the detailed ranges available without the expence of going to 25/28mm scale.

I predominantly use DBA & DBM which are very good rule sets.  These rules are independant of figure scale and a base can be filled with figures of any scale- the rules state how many figures are recommended in scales ranging from 25 to 2mm!

Cybershadow- thanks for the info, I'd be interested in having a look.
