Titan Weapons Poll.
All Titans should cost the same, regardless of the weapons they're armed with. 17%  17%  [ 7 ]
Titans should be priced differently according to their weapons. 80%  80%  [ 33 ]
I don't care. (But I like to vote!) 2%  2%  [ 1 ]

Do What Works For You ...  :D    I don't know if we'll ever get one system to work for everyone ...  And we wouldn't play E:A without modifications we like from SM1, SM2, E40K, etc. ...  But go for it, if you like !  But we'll do what works for us !  :;):

I voted 2 too (I like flavour) but I do have reservations, as mentioned we'll need a list per army list to work properly, this, of course, multiplies the work, not very practical.

I voted 2, but I would want to see the possible modifications and bookkeeping limited to a minium. EA abstracts a lot for smooth gameplay and including titans in your game shouldn't change that.

I stated my opinion on the Modular Weapons thread, but I think it bears repeating here. ?I'd like to see more Titan variants for the tournament scenario, and I believe that balancing the different weapons loads will require different unit costs. ?I emphasize that it is the tournament scenario that we're adding variants to; the non-tournament scenario already encourages different weapon loads.

A set of standardized Titans (like in AT1) data cards ...would simplify things, but I said this before. And it would be a large set of cards.  It would limit some things but would keep some sort of "order" ...

I agree, fully balancing modular titans for use in conjunction with the tournament army lists would be the ideal.

Yep - would be nice to have a variety of titans for tourneys.  It would be nice to field a tooled up pair of tank/WE killing WH for the marines..

THe poll is looking fairly unanimous too- nearlky 80% in favour of option 2!

Aye that's somewhat higher of a percentage than I was expecting, the poll's looking pretty clear-cut at this point.

I'll throw up a second vote in a few days time to detirmine which is more popular, 'patterns' or 'weapon costs'.

In the old days, any Imperial Force could get Titan support ... 25% of your TBL could be used on a Titan ...  I don't see why this continues to be a problem ?   Titans support Ground Forces & vis versa ...  I don't get it ?  That's the way we've bee doing it ... But DWWFY !   :D

Well it seems to me that a lot of guys are worried about SMs TK abilities ... if you take a Titan that should solve the problem ... that was my point ...

Right, well this poll is all about finding a way to balance that so that army doesn't automatically win, either by applying limits to the titan (like the AMTL Tactical/Support restrictions) or by costing the weapons independantly.

Consensus seems overwhelmingly in favour of allowing Titans to take modular weapons, we're just trying to find out what way of implementing this would be most popular.
