Until the real model comes out I had thought of using either the Micro-Machine Aliens ship (I have four in my Dirtside Army) or maybe using the Frigga Assault Craft from Gropos.

Well Tas, glad to hear from a former Grunt and Gunner. ?I went to Amphib. School with our Marines, when I was in the 101 ABN, so I have to respect the Navy, they have lots of fire power and pretty good chow, too ! :D ?Welcome aboard, Sailor :) !

Dafrca, I have one of the M/M "Aliens" Drop Ships and I've seen the Frigga on line.  I the think both are good "subs" until F/W releases them, sooner than later, I hope ...  :D

With GW's announcement of shutting down Internet vendors and my favorite shop going out of business, I bought three blisters of the CAV Fenri gunship. Great model.

Guess I have to get off my tuches now and BOTH finish up my E-A Orks and paint some E-A IG.

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.

Has anyone seen the latest CAV flyers?

Any ideas what we could use them for in Epic?

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.

Mark IV "Ghast" would make an excellent Vulture.

Hi!

I agree. I was looking at several CAV fliers and though them to be quite good proxies. Isn't there one that looks "valkyre-like"?

With Maksim doing an excellent job on the Tyranid list in the Vault (I recommend everyone give it a read through and leave their comments on it), it has stirred my enthusiasm for the bugs. But, since last edition I have been much more interested in the idea of a seeding swarm.

So, while I dont want to second-guess the progress on the main list, I wondered what the general opinion is on a Phase III Tyranid force.

I dont want to go into stats and detail like that, since I will simply follow the main force list in stats, but what differences would there be between the lists?

Not Included

As a Phase III list, I would guess that the force would be primarily smaller, infantry units. Very few, and possibly no titans, with very limited vehicles (or even probably none).

Would an Attack force have Spore Chimneys? I dont know much about the background of these, but would they be present in the initial stages of a Tyranid invasion?

Additions

I guess that there would be a load of Gaunts, Genestealers and Lictors, with similar numbers of all of the infantry, and in particular Tyranid Warriors.

Anything else that would be definately in or not in the force? Anything that there would be lots of, or few of? Any special rules to be included in the force?

Thanks.

Hi CS,

Sounds interesting. I think that we're all a little slow lately (myself included).

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.

Thanks. I think that I will wait for the new 40K Tyranid Codex (in a month or so), then I will get back on this. To be honest, it is an excuse to use all manner of exotic bugs from as many different manufacturers as possible (I could use a list of alternatives out there, if anyone has suggestions). I guess that there will be less armour, no war engines and lots of a huge variety of infantry. Epic - its all about the grunts!  :D

Hi Iain,

You might want to check out some of the various E-A Nid threads that I have listed that have many different types of Nid proxies listed.

Shalom,
Maksim-Smelchak.
