I wouldn't put a lot of stock into rumours from GW, even if they come up with something it is unlikely to be well supported if their track record is anything to go by. Far better to just get started with available models from manufacturers already out there, which are just as good as anything GW will be able to produce in any case.

Titans are like 2mm scale anyway, so a pure titan game would be a scale change no matter how the minis look.

Hi!
I'm at the point that I don't care what GW does any more.
I already am part of my own epic community and the amount of projects pending will keep me busy forever.
Given what options exists out there for making or commissioning your own miniatures, I just don't need them anymore.

If they do 6mm, our community will grow. Yeah, we'll have yet another ruleset to contend with, but that's not the worst thing in the world.

I would really hope it stays 6mm. I only said it might be "the kind of thing they'd do" to create a new kind of game that might be easier to market / sell to newcomers.
If they really are being more... reasonable nowadays viz. the SG relaunch and how we're seeing Blood Bowl and such - I'd be inclined to think they'd keep it 6mm generally, but perhaps with some scale creep one way or another.

I took a look at some Epic Space Marines and proxies for Space Marines, and they seem to keep growing. The Mk. VII plastics are noticeably bulkier than the early beakies. Certain forumware marine-alikes were 7mm tall, and some of the newer fanmade stuff is closer to 8mm. Any bigger and it'll feel like we have to paint much more detail - so now I really hope they keep it to 6mm(ish).

The chunkier proxies I still think are reasonable, I mean, we all know the scale for GW stuff is whack no matter if it's Epic or 28mm =-P
10 marines fitting in a rhino?

yeah that's why I don't worry that much about a minor scale change (6->10) as it's already fungable. We're years away from seeing anything and I really caution anyone from saying "epic's coming back" because I doubt that's what would be seen (in the sense of "here's a full realease of Epic again folks, enjoy!". The idea of an AT Titan v Titan game that sees fabulous reaction would naturally dove-tail into a inf and tanks release to build on it. Mind you, this is exactly how epic came about as it was fit into AT from it's success when released eventually becoming SM1. Even if the above scenario is somewhat one that happens I could easily see a game produced that was significantly different than any type of epic. For instance, the infantry isn't discrete figures but is a formation of infantry on a token-esque base you move around, keeping the focus on the big titans.

I heard from a very reliable source (someone who works at a GW store), Blood Bowl will be the 1st release and then a re-do of AT. I'm pretty sure it will stay as 6mm.
