Hey guys,

So I've settled for Steel Legion as my first army, however after digging through my epic stuff I only have 7 Chimeras (bulky looking GW things) I was wondering if anyone knows where any can be found? As I'll need at least another 7.

Cheers for now guys :)

You could try the trading section of this forum, their is a 6mm & 10mm page on Facebook which is very good, then theirs eBay or various proxies.

I agree that IG are the easiest. For 3k 7 chimeras should be enough to get you going.

Personally all 4 of our play group still struggle with Codex Marines - we generally find that, though tough, they are too few in number - they struggle to really finish the job and gradually just get worn down - but maybe we just haven't found the right technique yet... ?

Ironically every one finds Eldar really easy to play - every unit does what it says on the tin and does it amazingly well. As long as you let them do what they are good at they nearly play themselves.

Yeah for Steel Legion a single Regimental Command Company can do OK at 3k if you go a bit heavy on some of the tanks though I personally like 2 myself. Acquiring another 7 chimeras, here or on ebay, shouldn't be that difficult. Also don't discount that plenty of IFV/APCs from other manufacturers are around and affordable and in general, of better quality. It's a big Imperial Guard out there and rarely do they fight all by themselves. Keeping your model collection to one style builds an overly regimented looking force I find and a little small variation between formations can go a long way in breaking things up.

that being said, I'll dig around and see what extras I may have left for you.
