Isn't it a bit weird that the Wraithknight has a pair of pilots (even if one is dead), while Revenants have one twin each? Maybe there are more souls in the Revenants.

Seeing the Tau Riptide and this Eldar construct side by side I can't help feeling it is very tau'ish..

Presumably there will be a space marine mega dreadnought in time for Christmas

I hope the Knight doesn't mean FW will discontinue the much nicer Revenant, it looks similarly armed and it's only 2.5" taller and that's basically down to wing fins.

It's ironic that we went from Epic40k aircraft that were too small with oversized weapons, to decent truescale FW aircraft only for GW to go in the opposite direction with their plastic 40k aircraft.

All these super heavy tanks, titans and fliers...

When do people realize that 40k is not the right form factor.... no wonder GW felt like they had to kill off Specialist Games... :{[]

I didn't like the Wraithknight at first glance, but have come around(pre-ordered one today with the LFGS) All of the other new units are simply gorgeous and will drain my wallet next month. :{[] The new sculpts and kits truly rival the revamped Dark Eldar line for the best looking 40k models. (Yes, I'm partial to DE >:D )

Maybe venerable dreads will get a size boost? Apart from the (ridiculous) dreadknight, I can't think of any imperial knight sized walkers that aren't knights...

It will be a mighty combination of a blood angles dread, a BT dread, an IF dread, Ultramarines and whatever loyalist chapter the pink power ranger space marine is from. They'll just morph together and have a sum number of buckets of assault cannon dice rolls greater than their parts.

Anyone else thinking plastic wraith guard could make good 6mm wraith knights...?

Wouldn't they be far to large?

Hrm, actually they're about right.

The Wraithknights are around 10 inches tall, so about 10x the size of a normal trooper. 10x a 6mm trooper is 60mm, which is roughly the right size for a wraithguard.

In that case I would be in need of one as well :-)

I'd probably use an old metal Eldar Knight as a Wraithknight but two Wraithguard could be converted into epic Revenant Titans (particularly if those nice sonic lance arms were used).

They'll just make up something new and slap an incredibly overpriced price tag on it as usual.

Must admit i hadn't realized they are on 40mm bases so thought they were about 45mm - or roughly equal to the old Revenants and a little taller than the old knights ( it believe, though i don't have any knights and my revs aren't to hand.) As it is, turning them into new style Revenants looks even easier...

Codex SM dreadknight is an almost certainty. Plastic thunderhawk seems so impossible to resist if i were GW's marketing team that i can't believe it hasn't already been done. I mean if its still true that SMs account for 50% of GW total sales (inc Fantasy and LOTR) why would you not when you are already selling baneblades and stompers in the thousands...? IIRC the resin version already accounts for a massive chunk of FW's sales?
