Yes the Jink replaces the armour save. But Reinforced Armour isn't the armour save. It's a unit's special ability.
So i would agree: 4+ Jink save then if failed the re-roll with the aircrafts actual armour save for Reinforced Armour.
This makes a certain logical sense but there is still the problem with the Jink wording. It does specifically say that it replaces the normal save.
Ra states
Quote:
Units with reinforced armour are protected by armour many times thicker than that found on most armoured vehicles and have extremely robust internal construction too. Because of this they still take their saving throw when hit by macro-weapons (see 2.2.7). In addition, they may re-roll a failed save against any non-macro-weapon hit, including those inflicted during an assault.
RA references saving throw so my only issue with your interpretation is that when you Jink you are replacing your armour save with a Jink and RA specifically references saving throw.
Which of course is critical since Jink says
Quote:
Aircraft that jink receive a 4+ saving throw instead of their normal armour save but lose their attack if they have not already taken it (they are concentrating on dodging enemy bullets).
So Jink replaces your normal saving throw with a 4+ saving throw but all that RA does in this instance, as the rules are written, is allow you to use that enhanced save against an MW attack
