Are Experimental armies out of the compendium then? I thought they were in there so people could test them.

I think everything and the kitchen sink is in the compendium.

What the relevant AC has said should go in has gone in...this may leave some lists out there on the forum that isn't in there.....

I wouldn't mind a copy. I also think it'd be worth putting in the compendium - it's fairly established, even if it's neglected.

Should we have an "untested" slot that goes before experimental, for lists such as the Chem-Dogs?

Experimental is generally the term used to describe such lists.

Dave seems to be applying it more stringently.

The categories as originally envisaged:

Experimental - Brand new lists, or lists that have undergone large, untested changes.
In Development - Lists that have been around for a while, and are undergoing active development.
Approved - Lists that are tournament ready. May or may not still have development work ongoing.

Originally individual Army Champions were supposed to be assigning status, not the ERC. I haven't been informed that this has changed.

I had asked to have the Chem-Dog list taken out of the compendium because I hadn't had time to test it (I didn't really think it deserved to be in there with less than a dozen games). If anyone's interested in a copy I can send them the latest.

Well how far should you go back looking for lists? does it count as a list if somebody posts up a list and the nothing else happens - no updates/development/interest?

For Chaos I looked back 2yrs on the Chaos board and included every list that had a thread in that time

As Dave wrote the list, he's entitled not to put it in the Armies Book if he so choses.

I'm not saying he can't. But if his reason is "it's not tested enough", I'd be fine with another category for very untested things.

The forum is here for "here is a list lets go" style stuff. When the author and AC are happy I'm sure it would make its way into the book.

If it's not in the book, it's not that likely to get tested any further.

It's up to Dave. But if he's uncomfortable putting it in because it's not tested (and doesn't think Experimental should include lists like that any longer), I think making another category for stuff that's virtually untested might be worth doing (especially since the current system seems to bottleneck at "Development").

Hi, I'm new to E:A, i have my steel leegion based up on the thin plastic bases that they are supplied with, but was wondering if it would be ok to base my next armies infantry on warmaster size bases. These are twice as wide as the epic ones, but i just feel that they would look nicer afterwards. Also what size bases for tanks & vehicles, or is it just whatever size they can fit on?

Cheers, Manny

Warmaster bases are 4cm x 2cm or thereabouts, right? So they should be okay for infantry bases.
