artscow (www.artscow.com) are a print on demand company that do very good deals quite frequently on print on demand decks of cards. (as in, you tell them what you want printed on the face of each card, and on the backs) which makes a project like the above gaming cheat-cards much much easier to whip up
you can even, if you're very sneaky, make up cards using pictures of your own units

Great idea.

Anything? ;) a few starters (going on low-res picture only):
Track out your caps/small caps.
Also watch the kerning, especially the the MA pair in small arms.
Why does Small Arms have full caps/small caps when everything else is full-full caps or full small caps.
In 'notes: jump pack' the space after the colon looks abnormally large and 'jump pack' appears to be floating above the baseline.
Add some space in before your + signs in firepower column (maybe just a thin, but it needs something).
I would test your format with units that have longer entries for weapons/notes/special rules etc, as i think you might run out of space.

I'm obviously less picky than Apoc. In fact I didn't even understand half of that.

The missile launcher range doesn't need parentheses.

Apoc, your not a typist are you? Good eye... ;)

Font is the main issue for Caps/No caps, but I guess consistency is king! I really like the font, I even paid for it, So I think it will read a lot more clear and look semi-gothic like. The jump pack colon thing...good eye again, I think I have have 2 sizes there, I'll check.

As for space issue, I think the more the entries the small the font, but yes I should have tried it with another unit, say a Titan. I will be doing that today.

Thanks for the feed back Apoc, much appreciated.

Those looks very nice indeed!

Would you consider posting a GIMP blank template, so the rest of us can get in on the fun too? It would be cool to have a set with ones own actual minis in the pictures :)

THAT is a fabulous idea! ;D

Hi,
Your cards looks really good.

We use also some reference cards for promoting and playing EA. A friend found a card editor for trading card games.(Magic Set Editor 2) It's easy to create your own cards and style.
I have cards for SM, Titans, Minervans, Necrons etc. all with complete stats and pictures.

Sweet! I need to check that out!

I was thinking Trajan, but the counter on the cap P would have a gap (or it does but i can't tell from jpeg) and the tail or the R looks wrong (but then the serifs and condensed L and E look so trajan), what is it?

It's free, and appears to be a Trajan. Oddly drawn though, compare the capital O for exmaple, optimus is blocky and angular in comparison:
Trajan: http://new.myfonts.com/fonts/linotype/trajan/
Optimus: http://www.fontburner.com/2008/04/23/op ... ssemibold/
