That ... thing... would make more sense without treads, perhaps as a coastal defense/planetary defense installation.

And with luck the front line sweeps far enough away that it can actually use its MRBM.

I'm positive I don't like it.

you sure? that sounds very close minded of you DS. I mean, think of all the wonderful discussions we could have on here about the exact no. and composition of shots due to the physical no. of barrels on the model? It'd be awesome!

And where, pray, is the fuel convoy that is evidently going to be needed to keep it going?? (Not to mention the munitions trucks that will be needed to keep it firing)

well, given that a standard 40k board equates to what, 30x30m, it probably wouldn't need much fuel :)

I don't know about that - I am thinking about using the MAUS (whose engine woefully underperformed) as a guide to the performance of this monster.

Since this beast seems to have had a similar mad genius designing it, I expect a similar design flaw, coupled with a minute fuel tank (no spare room) so it would only get enough fuel to move it forwards for two turns OR to rotate the various turrets for two turns, after which it runs out of power and can only shoot the secondary armament (bolters etc) in the direction they are now facing.

I would even suggest a special rule about mixing up the varioous calibers of onboard ammo . . .

now that's what I call a neat idea! You could even have fire arcs (15deg? 20deg?) for each and every barrel on the tank, that would add that extra degree of "realism" :)

I think the ICBM is stuck to the top to provide motive power. :D
