Hena: The minervan list is the place for varient AVs. That's pretty much the entire point of the list.

Actually the minervan list really did start as "stick all the vehicles in". It was E&C's way of making a list that used all the FW models that were being sold but weren't in other lists.

Hena: lots of people prefer to use models with what they are actually armed with rather than Counts-As.

What exactly is the problem with keeping the varient turrets in, if as neal says they're underpowered compared to the standard option? It won't effect power gamers, yet will allow people to use models they own as what they actually are.

I really can't see the down side, other than a vague "vehicles shouldn't get options", which is nullified by razorbacks, predators, land speeders, russ varients etc.

I'll keep the poll up for now but I can see that most people (having played with/against the Minervans or not) are in the camp for the variable turrets compared to those who are against it. The rest of the players don't really mind (that's my camp - anyone bring marshmallows?) and this is okay. If things don't change considerably I'll just leave it as is.

And yes, I'll probably remove the Ignore Cover on the FF as mentioned on pg1 of this thread.
