That said if it was brought up in the five minute warm-up I would have no problems with it used against me!

That then is what i shall do :-)

Rug is right besides; my list is in and Matt has already agreed to let me use my attack bikes as proxies for bikes (I do not have enough bike stands), if anyone is happy during the five minute warm up to allow me to use them as attack bikes then i shall.

Even from a RAW point of view I think it's possible to allow attack bikes, depending on how you read it.

A Thunderhawk can transport 'Bike' units.

A Landing craft can transport 'Predator' units.

Predator Annihilators and Predator Destructors are both (kinds of) Predator units.

Bike Squadrons and Attack Bikes are both (kinds of) Bike units.

In my line of work Predator and Bike would be call Abstract Types, While Bike Squadron, Attack Bike, Predator Annihilators and Predator Destructors would be called Concrete Types. The relationship is often called an 'Is a' or 'Kind of' relationship. Thus an Attack Bike 'is a' Bike unit.

The difference is that both predators are AV, while bikes are mounted infantry and attack bikes LV.

True, but it makes no difference to my RAW reading.

I'd agree that if was being played with RAW then neither the "Attack Bike" nor the "Bike Squadron" would be allowed in the T/hawk as it's statline states "Bikes".

MofK I,like Rug would have no problem allowing the attack bike to go in th T/hawk.

RAW the unit is called "Space Marine Bike" and the other "Space Marine Attack Bike"
delete "Space Marine" and you have "Bike" and "Attack Bike" NOT "Bike Squadron" and "Attack Bike".

That depends on which part of the rule section that is used if you look slightly higher on the page you will see Bike squadron but it was not my intention to have either dropped from the T/hawk's transported units.
I believe that both should be allowed in the T/hawk and that by disallowing a unit because it hasn't had it's full title included could be used against things that were intended to be allowed.
