Say, would this work on an iPhone or iPad? It could honestly influence my decision on near-future tech purchases…

That would be an iPad? I'm guessing the screen on an iPhone is too small for the app to be useable.

the acronyms on the first page

Epic-UK, NetEA, FERC

It also took me a minute or two to work out how to access the formation upgrades, and that was only becuase I knew they were there somewhere.

I'm assuming at some point you'll have people accessing this who've not got a paper army list in front of them, and are completely new to epic.

Good point, I suppose a newbie would be asking themselves 'What the feck are all these lists?!'.

Is it intentional that the NetEA Deathguard list doesn't have a daemon pool?

Nope, I'll add it for the next version, thanks.

Yeah. If we end up with a lot of lists, it may be worth pointing out which ones are the 'generic' ones (Astartes, Steel Legion, Ghazkhull's Warhorde, Biel-Tan). I'm still at a loss myself when it comes to choosing between Official, NetEA, and EpicUK.

They aren't that generic. Steel Legion and Biel-Tan especially (being mechanized infantry and, well, the Biel-Tan Craftworld). They're simply the first lists that were written for that race.

I'd disagree. Steel Legion can represent almost any type of army pretty well, Infantry, Tank, Mech, even an Arty-centric army. The only thing tying it down to being from a Mech background is the RHQ.

Likewise, the large Aspect formations peg the Biel-Tan list as from that craftworld, but it can represent almost any craftworld: Mech Guardians and lots of Windriders for Saim Han, Lots of Guardians for Ulthwe, Mech Guardians plus Swords and Engines of Vaul for Yme-Loc even.

The other craftworld-specific lists may do a better job, but the original list is perfectly servicable. Likewise the Steel Legion list.

It's servicable - but they both have quirks specific to that background. The Aspect Hosts especially is not something that other craftworlds can easily field. And I'd argue that the vast majority of guardsmen do not get to ride around in chimeras. A true "basic IG list" would not have mechanized companies, but a mechanized support platoon.

Proxying Aspects host as other stuff doesn't make the BT list a "basic" Eldar list. The Alaitoc list is a better generic list anyway.

I wouldn't proxy Aspects, there's just room not to have them, or not to have more than one. 3 Support per Core gives a lot of leeway in list construction. Likkewise, the Guard list has enough options that you could get away with no more Chimaeras than you need for the RHQ. The rest could be foot companies, supported by Artillery Batteries. Or Tank Companies, that's more or less what my Steel Legion List is. I rarely field more than the RHQ in infantry, the rest being made up of Tank and Artillery Companies. But as always YMMV.
