Funnily enough my latest batch arrived this morning, containing, guess what, chimeras and storm troopers The chimeras, for extra transport for upgrades in the 2 mech companies that I have, were ok, not the best, lots of flash and bits, but easily cleaned up. The storm troopers, for inquisition troops, seem great, some cleaning to be done but otherwise fine. So there you go, some batches are awful and some are fine it seems.

It seems as if its a QC problem with consistency of production then?
We have some very varied reports on the same models, which seems to discount it being a mould problem

Hopefully. But I think I won't buy anything Epic from the online store anymore. Instead, I'll wait until I have some business in Helsinki and go to the local GW store. At least in there I can see what I am buying.

If you get poor minis - why arent you returning them and asking for a replacement?

Hi!
Tas, mainly becuase I played it safe and onely bought one of each of those blisters. It was a small investment, so I dont think its worthy of the hassle or an exchange. Also, I desire to use some of the pieces as fodder for conversions, so I'm less inclined to exchange them.
Had I bought a standard primarchload, I would have sent it back in a heartbeat.....
Luckily, this time at least, I had the "luck" of not ordering many upfront.
I will follow this policy in the future.

When it was just one mini in a package, I think things will be fine. When it is many from the same order in different blisters I expect it is a failure in the overall system.

If I were you, I would keep phoning up and whinging... GW MO and FW are usually very good about sorting out these sort of things.... at least in the UK.

Have to go MO I was told.

Dunno as I have never visited there. However, I recruited one of my friends to buy Fanatic#3 for me from there and he said it's quite well stocked. Didn't specifically mention epic, though, so I am not holding my breath or anything.

Hi!
Mojarn, how's the quantity of epic players where you live? Still a drought? Or getting better?

Getting slowly (VERY slowly) better but as no minis are locally available I don't think the amount will ever be that large. OTOH I have been brainwashing a couple of my friends for some time now. I started from scratch and now they play strategy games so all is not lost.

It is not easy to get people to play who are not even gamers.
I wish you all the luck!

Good Luck Mojarn. Speaking of which I was in our local GW store on Saturday and asked how Epic was selling, surprisingly well considering there is none on display it seems, also it turns out that 2 of the staff are getting into it and hope to introduce it at Thursdays veterans night, I guess I should try and support it by turning up, minis in hand
