Hey Guys,
Alright, I've finally made a draft for my army that I plan to take to the tournament. Have a look, see what you think. Here are some points on strategy and theme:
1. The army list is the Ulthwe 2.3 version and MUCH more balanced then previous versions. 2. I've designed the army to be entirely themed. There isn't a single aspect warrior in the whole list. I've imagined that this would be a frontal assault force when Ulthwe has had enough and decided to bring the 'big guns' so to speak. In that vein it's meant to be a brick of a force, lots of bludgeoning, not much subtlety. 3. The artillery and Scorpions are meant to soften targets up for assaults. Scorpions and Vampires are to take out vehicles and war engines. The 3 Guardian warhosts on foot are meant to hold ground once it's taken and the two Guardian warhosts in the Vampires are meant to take it for them. Finally the Nightwings are there to guarantee I always have air superiority.
3,000pt Ulthwe Tournament List:
1. Avatar (0)
2. Guardian Warhost (350) -1 Farseer Council -7 Guardians -3 Wraithguard
3. Guardian Warhost (300) -1 Farseer -7 Guardians -3 Wraithguard
4. Guardian Warhost (300) -1 Farseer -7 Guardians -3 Wraithguard
5. Guardian Warhost (150) -1 Farseer -7 Guardians
6. Black Guardian Warhost (200) -2 Farseers -6 Guardians
7. Vampire (200)
8. Vampire (200)
9. Scorpion (250)
10. Scorpion (250)
11. 2 Void Spinners (500)
12. 3 Nightwings (300)
Total: 3,000pts Units: 59
Thoughts? I'm cooking up another list that will be artillery heavy without the Vampire component, I'm not sure which will be sicker, we shall see.
Adam.

Looks pretty solid to me.
Although I don't know how any Eldar player leaves home without a pair of Revenant titans.

Well because I -hate- to become overly dependant upon a particular unit so I'm attempting to ween myself off my little Revenant addiction and explore other themes with the army. But yes, it's hard. Still though being able to bring those Void Spinners should be well worth the sacrifice and the scorps usually make up for the firepower that the Revs might have had.

As far as I am aware Void Spinners can't be taken in an Ulthwe list.

We still use a modified SM1/SM2 TO&E, but unless I missed something, I don't see any transport (Falcon or W/Serpents?) for your infantry ?
