Ah - first is the Baneblade. Which are the others then? Curious  :)
Also - I got a bad feeling that this Apocalypse thingy will not sell as well as planned. The war engines will do ok, as will the rule book, but although there are fanatics willing to buy 10 Leman Russes or whatever (I'm a fanatic, I admit, but I'd rather buy loads of different stuff - Mr. attention-span deficit is who I am   :p ),. I don;t feel there are enough fanatics to cover all the races. Ah well. I'm also well-known for being rea- er, pessimistic.  :p

The Ork Stompa is planned. But for now it has too many sprues. They cut its original 20 sprues down to 12 or so and if they manage 8 it will get published.

I don't know what other people expect from Apocalyspe but i guess it is only WH40k with speed-gaming rules. Eg introducing Warengines with uberweapons to be able to kill more stuff in a shorter time frame to allow really big games to be finished in a reasonable timeframe.
Throw in the VDR to allow players to field ANY model available in the past and design new ones and voila! Apocalypse *yawn*

What i heard fromthe German GD ist that:
You start ca 12" apart.
The demo game was finished in 2 turns (=1,5h).
The big blast templates wreck Terminators as fast as Imperial Guardsmen
If a Warengines blows up every model in Structurpoints x D6" gets an Strength 9 Ap 2 hit.
Eg if the Warhound reaktor melts down it would be  everymodel in 6D6"
Every vehicle in the blast radius take a Titankiller hit.

Which means no-one will buy termies... let alone guardsmen! Who would want to paint a hundred 28mm scale guardsmen to have them mown down in 3 minutes flat (if their side starts first...they'd last less otherwise)?  :(
Bad wargaming. This sounds one step away from lining up troops and banging at them with spring-loaded cannon shooting marbles.  :(

12" apart - which army starts a shooting war with their troops' breath misting up the enemy's specs?

Still - thanks for the news, BL.

Tank Company - a way of saying 'I have no brain'.
Basilisk Battery - a way of emphasising the point.

Decimator looks nice though :)  Or plague puker or whatever it's called.

I heard that a Brass Scorpion was in the works... since it fits as a scaled up Defiler.

The brass Scorpion is mentioned earlier in this thread with pictures and rules. Apparently it is a conversion of two Defilers designed by the VDR.
