- "point of movement" = what?

- I was meaning that a portion of flier movement could be used to change altitude like when a vehicule go through a forest, it has some movement penalty. Actually, a flier can do it's whole movement and change the altitude with no penalty. Maybe going from low altitude/ground to high altitude could cost something like 10cm per level change ?

- ground to high or high to ground -> cost 20cm of base movement
- ground to low, low to high -> cost 10cm of base movement

Another question, for example: a Thunderhawk transporting 6 assault SM stands is destroyed while flying. Could the transported stands as they are jump pack equipped could benefit from a bail-out roll ? In my last game this situation happened and we finally stated that yes, the jump troop could try to jump from the Thunderhawk before it crahed.

It's a transport, so they get a 4+ bail out.  All infantry do....but only the Jump Pack equipped ones survive a bail out from a flying transport :)

I get what you mean on movement penalty for altitude change.  I have no problem with the idea....maybe 20cm penalty to gain altitude?

20cm penalty to gain altitude would be correct.

I was also wondering:

- what do fliers gain by flying low ?

I did not find why all my fliers should not always fly high in my last game ;)

@ scream: fly low comes in handy when the opponent has AA with unlimited range (for example the orc doomdiver). depending on your setup of terrain you might be able to avoid it.

There was another advantage, but that one i forgot  :sulk:
