I read a thread (here?) in passing and it basically stated that a unit which Marched that turn could not be used to claim or contest objectives. Now I can't find the thread and I sure have not been able to find the reference in the rules. Can anyone point me to the page and section? Or is this someo...

Whoa ho ho! That is awesome. And the paint is excellent. Nice color scheme too!

Quote (Mojarn Piett @ 07 April 2006 (06:15))I like the Wave serpent. The "donuts" do look a bit odd ... Any idea on how to fix the "donuts"? I was thinking of plugging one end as a start. Then either: * Paint little silver lines (curves?) to simulate turbines. In this case I would plug the back end....

One last shot from the top of the Warp Spider Troupe, which shows the Falcon "circuitry" better.

Here is a British Guards stand. Yes, I am the kind of nut who tries to paint the piping and lace on the cuffs and collar of a 6mm figure. Well, at least for the Guards...

I'm still photographing the little buggers. It's hard to find the right zoom that shows enough detail, but not so much that the "mistakes" are magnified to where the human eye can't even see it.

Here is a stand of British Lifeguards by Baccus.

Well, I took a while off from Epic, especially painting. I got a batch of 6mm Napoleonics and have been grinding away on them. I needed a break from French and British Line battalions, so here they are: the Warp Spiders of Saim-Hann. Here are the close-ups of the Wave Serpents dedicated to the Warp ...

Looks cool! Can't wait to see it painted.

Funny, but in the second picture I sswear it looks like a squashed snail without a shell on its back!

Quote (Dwarf Supreme @ 04 April 2006 (17:14))Actually, you're not the first person to think of this. I forget who, but a member here has based his epic infantry one per base to create a "travel" version of 40k. I used to do that (but I am probably not who you are thinking of), but that is not what I...

Quote (ragnarok @ 03 April 2006 (23:17))Eventually all epic minitures will be 28mm scale. Funny you should mention that. We were discussing the other day about using Epic minis for 40K! No, not on a one-to-one basis, but having an Epic stand represent a 40K figure. For vehicles, we figured you would...

But, I take it the SM are still on the smaller side, especially the heads?

I think I have one of the newer sprues, but because I bought them loose from eBay, I don't know if they are the latest and chunkiest or not.

I definitely don't have any of the new "cereal box" dreadnoughts.

Thanks.

I just started painting the Guardians in the "new" Eldar Epic box set (new to me because I have a lot of the older Eldars) and I noticed two things: * "Heroic" scale ain't the word for it. * Those are some BIG, BAD shuriken catapults! (No wonder they are Firefight 4+!) What I was wondering was, what...

Quote (The_Real_Chris @ 04 Mar. 2006 (05:21))You are slightly off with your analysis of the letter of the rules. Take a different example. A shadowsword is in the middle of a scout formation that has surrounded it. It is not in any Zoc so shoots. The furthest away unit is the one in its front fire a...
