Duh!! I misread the bikes! My eyes read Attack bike instead Assault Bike.... As for the Storm Troopers, it just seems weird the're limited to the ground when everything else has an aerial option. It also doesn't really fits the theme of rapid insertion teams associated with Deathwatch. Just not seei...

I've not been very active, but still very much interested in this army.

Why no Bikes for the Vets or Valkyries for the Storm Troopers?

Thank you for the clarifications. Ok, now I can see the logic behind the Inquisitor forces. As for the Terminators and Corvus, I'll give it a try. I don't see it being very different from a Wraithguard/Blade Formation being Transported by Wave Serpents (at 425 to 475pts for 4WG+4WS). Maybe a cost in...

Just spotted this, and quite excited about it, as I'm a big fan of the Ordo Xenos, Deathwatch in particular. A few questions regarding some of the options you've made: Deathwatch are very limited in number and rarely deploy a whole Watch Fortress compliment, and since the Deatchwatch can commandeer ...

Speaking for myself, go ahead! Only problem is that when the main workshops get updated with new units, that one won't be updated as well. As for converting existing models for epic, you'd need a 3d program to handle the .obj files and an image processor for the skins. For the 3d stuff, I use 3dSMax...

Thanks! I Just subscribed to some 40K maps and saved the terrain pieces I wanted to my chest, which ones specifically, I'd have to check.. As for the hill, that's easy, just open the properties of the hill model and replace the "Diffuse/image" field with whatever skin you want. I usually u...

Yes 3d is much more appealing! Well, to be honest, I can't really tell you how much longer a game would take. I'm a slow player in the physical world and I don't play that much. When me and my brother get together to play a physical 3000pt game it can take from 3 to 5 hours! This was a solution I fo...

In case anyone is interested, I'v uploaded the Chaos Army for Warmaster and also a counter pack for Epic. I used the counters from the Net Epic Armageddon Site. I was planning to get in contact with whomever made those to ask for permission, however, I can't find any contact info. Anyone care to poi...

There is one person that is ripping the models from MoC and there is also a Warhammer mod for Medieval Total War (though i don't know if those can be used). And then Warhammer Total War proper is coming out soon. Anyway, I already made the High Elves Army to test the feasibility: https://dl.dropboxu...

Well, you need Tabletop Simulator, and then you need to subscribe to the desired workshops on Steam, that's how TTS works, through the Steam workshop. Tabletop itself, is on sale (50% off) quite often.

I'll be working on Warmaster armies next.

Hey there! Thought I'd revive this, as there have been some recent development on this. Me and another chap have been converting the armies that were available for 40k to Epic, and the units that weren't available I ported them from DoW. Right now we have available: Space Marines (Missing some Chara...

For me and my brother, 40k lost us around 4th and WHFB around 7th. For 40k and whfb both, some of the main reasons being the rules heavy tone, constant changing of rulebooks and army books. Specifically for 40k, we felt the lack of alternating activations was a big turnoff, as for fantasy, the game ...

Sorry if it came across the wrong way. It wasn't meant as rebuke. Written words don't always get across the right mood (mine at least...). Just trying let people know my reasons for embarking on this project.

Well, I like the play style of Epic, and I think it translates well to larger scale minis, hence this attempt. As for W40k, I don't like the concept of the rules. Not being an alternate activation game is a big turn off. There are also other issues. Also, have you seen the size of the rulebook and c...
