Cool, thanks guys. As I don't play Guard, I may adjust the weapon fit to be more Orky, and use them as Looted Gorgons. Swap the Heavy Stubbers for Big Shootas, and the Mortars for Lobbas and hey presto. I'm considering upping the speed to 25cm to represent the Meks 'tinkerin', and either removing th...

Greetings. I have done a few searches and am struggling to find rules for the Imperial Gorgon. I know there aren't any in the main rulebook, so thought they may have been discussed here. Some searches alluded to rules, but I can't find them anywhere. I imagined they might have been in one of the var...

Looks like Ork Battlefortresses would be just fine to use the Gorgons as, just say that they've had sooped up engines, but the armour is a little the worse for wear, and the weapons fit just fine - 4 x Big Shootas and one Big Gun.

Hmm, just googled them - they're nice aren't they? The Gorgons could easiy be used by a Guard player to represent the Crassus.

I have in my possession 5 of the classic Imperial Guard Gorgons, as pictured below. Along with 2 Basilisks, these are the only Guard models I have. I have an Ork army and a Marine army, and have decided that I could use the Basilisks as Ork Oddboy Big Gunz, but wanted opinions on what the Gorgons co...

Really enjoyed this report, though as an inexperienced player wanted to check, in the engage action involving the Assault Marines, should the Terminators have been able to give supporting fire, as the Assault Marines had been wiped out which, they way I read the current rules means that the Orks won...

For the first question, yes entirely acceptable although there's also a 'drive' as you put it to make things consistent even if only internally consistent. For example, the old Eldar Warp Hunter (http://eldar.arhicks.co.uk/miniatures/other/images/warp_hunter_1_1.JPG) doesn't exist any more. So if y...

Hi all. I understand that there is an established 'Counts As' drive within the EA rules, which according to the text is mainly to allow players with collections including models that no longer have in game stats to utilise their entire collection, but I wanted to ask whether it is generally acceptib...

I know that the old templates from Space Marine are only 6cm diameter instead of the 7.4cm of the universal small blast template GW uses these days, but does anyone use the old barrage templates anyway? I am thinking that if all barrage weapons use them, then the playing field remains level, unless ...

Welcome. Aye, WD160 - fantastic battle report that. Reads like a mini story. WD154 had my other favourite in. The battle between the Orks and Squats and I'll always remember Andy Chambers line "Hah! I gave those damnable stunties the drubbing they deserve!". Don't know why I remember it a...

Having checked back, you appear to be correct, the copy of the rules I have is older than the current LRB, so I'm in the process of printing off the current Assault section,

thanks.
