Have been sizing up a small army project for a while now- an Emperor's Children force, preferably with some interesting conversions. So far so evil: Firstly we have our command terminators, aimed at chewing up tough opponents. I've also been keen on the idea of obliterators. Some fiddly converting (... |

The models look excellent! All I can say is what a shame no one wants to pick up what could be an excellent chance to revamp epic. As someone said, these models are likely to attract mostly just older heads, without the backing of someone prepared to really push things further. There is clearly the ... |

Perhaps a silly question here folks, but I'm still strying to get the rules straight and am wondering about close assualts. Troops in base to base use their close combat value- but can they then only destroy enemies in base to base? Or do hits continue "up the line"- ie up to 15cm away? It sort of s... |

I must confess, I have very little interest in realism. A game must be convincing, yes, but realism? It makes me laugh sometimes- as if rule makers and gamers had real experience of "warfare in the 41st millenium"! The most important considerations are balance, playability and fairness. Mind you, I ... |

Great work! Kind of makes you nostalgic for the days you could look in any GW store and see this kind of thing. For so many gamers, this was a starting point. |

Just a couple of questions for you chaos gamers- apologies if these seem daft. 1/ Do chaos marines still get the usual "they shall know no fear" bonuses? 2/Do upgrade bonuses stack? (eg does a terminator unit upgraded to a champion/ lord get an extra two attacks?) Currently building a small converte... |

Having finally managed to win a few games vs various armies, I have encountered a fresh problem. Tyranids! These gits do me in every time. Just seen a whole IG heavy dissppear under a fall of drop spore thingys. And then there's the S&M horror that is the Dominatrix. Seems very hard to beat- and as ... |

Eeek, more squats. Mock the little b~ggers at your peril, that's what I say. My heaviest defeat in memory came against the shorties- a withering two turns of firepower left me totally smashed to pieces. Not used em much myself- but a scary approach is to pack the firepower in BIG time and concentrat... |

ON the Super heavy theme, I'm keen to field a company of Storm Blade tanks for E:A. What do they count as? A shadowsword? Or have I missed specific Storm Blade stats somewhere? All these new 40k tanks are cool, but do make me wish GW would also support the classic epic versions! Players being wowed ... |

A fairly comprehensive handbook sounds spot on. Would definitely buy such a volume- so much better than having various separate downloads and bits and pieces. Totally agree with your sentiments Mr Drop Trooper: "Standardisation is key to successful adoption--this is as true for gaming systems as it ... |

Sorry chaps but Eldar titans, cool as they are, are not cut out for the rough business of close combat. They are there to be pummelled and stomped on by uglier titans! (Spot the Ork player!) Seriously though, I rather like the existing balance of eldar titans- deadly, freaky ranged weapons, but an u... |
